This looks like a good price, despite the odd body.
“1942 Ford GPW WWII Jeep #109046. The original body has been cut, and though sound, is not restorable. Has good MB engine, rebuilt trans and transfer case, new steering parts, 5 new NDT tires, new brake parts, etc. The Jeep runs and drives excellent. A fun Jeep as is or, with a new body kit, would make a nice classic. $3,000.”
That engine looks great… not totally original (e.g. Solex carb), but really nice. It sure is too bad the tub was mutilated. The Mack bulldog and Ford logo add character 🙂
And the windscreen is from a CJ2A model too!
That’s an odd vin # 109046. I have a number matching ’43 gpw, deliver 3/22/43 and the vin# is 103941.
Yep, that’s a good point. The number would make it a ’43. Maybe it was mislabeled on the title?
Yea, that Vin is a little high….
My GPW#90918 was built 12/31/42 last day of the year! 🙂
