The body is rough.
“This is a very early Civilian Jeep aka CJ 2A aka “Agro Jeep”. These early Jeeps still had the ax and shovel imprints on the driver side panel.
Originally it had the 3 speed column shift levers but sometime later on, this one had the shift tower replaced with the 3 speed shift cane. The transmission still has the linkage levers for the column shift.
This Jeep was used primarily as a Hunting Jeep/ Ranch Jeep. We cleaned her up and replaced the engine with a more period correct block. The replacement engine was not rebuilt but it checked out good and it runs great.
The brakes were also replaced and the most evident leaks were repaired.
Jeep drives good. It still needs some basic up keep but it’s a good runner / driver.
No title but all of the Data Plates are there. I will help with obtaining a title.”
Has some body rust, but runs and drives. It could be a good price.
“1946 cj2a willys jeep. It runs and drives. It has new bf Goodrich all terrain tires and new brake lines and brakes. It has the original go-devil 4 cylinder engine showing 80,000 miles most of which were towed miles back and forth up north. The body is in rough shape and would be a great candidate for a new body tub. I just have too many projects and need to clear out.”

“I have to make room for other things so my willys jeep cj2a (civilian) has to go. Its been in many parades and car shows. Its really at home in the mountains or desert. Its a real head turner and it will put a smile on your face. Its amazing how many people tell me they had one of these when they were a kid, if that were true the road would be full of them. This is the first year for the civilian model and yes that is the original color. Many new parts but mostly original refurbished .”
Has a VEC body.

“1946 willys cj2a. All numbers matching. 134ci 3 speed on column. #35221 have data plates. Best i can tell the only thing missing is rear seat frame and air filter assembly off of carb. Motor turns over by hand and is full of oil. Spark plugs came out pretty easy, have never tried to start it. Has a 12 volt generator. Transfer case engages. Put 15inch wheels on it from a 65′ cj5. Obviously needs work. Floor pans are rusted out. Also have two more hoods, another tailgate, and two 16 inch original wheels go with it. Dont have to sell just wanna see what happens with this post. Would ONLY trade for another running jeep. Cj or yj. Title in hand. Texting works best. ”

“The sale was not completed on this Jeep so it is being relisted . This is a 1945 Willys CJ2A vin#11752 I have all 5 correct data tags. This is a project or parts vehicle . The body is repairable but will need front and rear floor work. The engine does not run it has a cracked valve guide and the head was removed at some point. I do have a running engine that can be negotiated in the price. This is a column shift jeep and all components come with the it. The front frame on the passengers side is rusted near the crossover tube but can be repaired. This is a VEC Jeep which are very hard to find and condition dictates the price other wise it would be well over $7000.00 . This Jeep will be sold with bill of sale and the asking price is $1500.00 if interested please call”

It’s not all original, but appears solid.
“1945 Willys Jeep CJ2A for sale. Hate to lose her but Im moving overseas. She is #10170 which you can research and see as the #170th CJ2A made after WWII. I rebuilt the transmission and the motor is great. Like all CJ2As this old there is a slight drip from the transmission housing. She has been up and running great for the past 2 years, I however have not been in El Paso for the past 6 months so the battery is dead and the fuel pump will need to be primed to get running again. After extensive research, there are a few parts that are not original, windshield is from a 1948, electrical is converted to 12V from 6V and the rear axle was upgraded to the 1948 model. This is an amazing find, and I don’t want to see her go- email or text with questions.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
(12/01/2014) This has a VEC CJ-2A body, but I don’t see other VEC parts.

“Ive got to sell my beautiful 1945 Willys CJ2A to make room for my side by side. Original 4 cal 6V civilian model 1st year they were built. It has been in car shows and paradise and also around the hills around Mesquite. Green with yellow wheels was the original color, pretty wild for 1945. It will take you about anywhere you want to go and always puts a smile on everybody’s face. A lot of fun and in great shape”
