UPDATE: Back on eBay
(10/14/2011) There’s some value here. The engine turns over, but doesn’t run at the moment.
“I’m helping a friend sell this vehicle and it’s located 20 miles from me. I have known this man for 15 years, he’s retired in his 70s and honest.
Jeep FC was running fine when parked in 1990 and has not been started since. Has 134 CI and 3-speed manual. The engine does turn over freely.
Vehicle is located in Norfork, Arkansas, and has a clear title.
The odometer reads 45,260 miles.
I don’t believe there’s any bondo on the vehicle, but there is a large amount of rust, most of it surface with some pin holes. Above the front windshield there is a line of rust with several large pin holes in it and the small areas where the driver’s and passenger’s feet rest have been replaced with flat metal.
Otherwise, the doors, rest of the cab, bed, etc. look to be in fair shape. I think a lot of the metal on this vehicle could be saved.
About the glass: The two vent windows, the two ¼ windows, and the back window look good. But the front windshield and driver’s and passenger’s windows have cracks.
All of the weather-stripping and rubber seals are deteriorated.
This Jeep FC seems very complete, perhaps 100% (my opinion), this is a great advantage in a restoration, because you can see where everything goes and fits.
There is a factory-optional twin-jerry-can storage rack on the driver’s side for pair of fuel cans.
Also, the rear hitch on this FC is either a factory option or FC-specific aftermarket part.
There is also an extra heater box and dash that come with this vehicle for trading later on or whatever (see photos).
And of course the tool box and rack could easily be removed for a factory clean appearance.
Important Note: My friend has a second, older Jeep FC-150 for sale at this same time. Please check in my “Seller’s Other Items.”
Thank you for looking and if you have any questions I will try to answer them or forward them to my friend.
I’m at the limit of pictures I can have in the ad now and I hope the ones I’ve taken give you a very-good idea of this vehicle’s condition; it’s all there, but needs a complete restoration.”
