“As my project draws to a close, I offer for sale this 1943 Willys 1/4T Reconnaissance Truck (jeep)(MB213995) and Willys 1/4T Trailer, Utility, restored to motorpool standards. For those of you who have not experienced military life, this means running correctly with the correct components as required to safely operate the vehicle during the WWII era. The only exception to this is the trailer which has not yet been restored, which would not stop you from driving the jeep and trailer in most parades without doing a thing to it. I have documented the entire tub off restoration of the jeep and assure you both run well. All the jeeps major systems (drive train, engine, trans, TC, electrical, fuel and brakes) have been thoroughly disassembled, cleaned, repaired or replaced and reassembled with era-correct reproduction or original NOS parts as specified in SNLG503 (the Army parts catalog for this type of vehicle). I have only really begun to return the 1944 Willys MBT trailer to it’s former glory, I serviced the wheel bearings,brakes and cosmetically cleaned up the trailer, so the new owner can have an active hand in the final restoration. The trailer will need have a wiring harness installed and mount some NDT tires to completely match the jeep. I want potential bidders to know that the trailer lunette and rims are post WWII parts from the sucessor to this model the M100. As anyone who gets bit by the “OD Fever” will tell you it’s impossible to restore one of these old warriors to working condition, by the book, without spending a few bucks along the way.”

“This 1961 Willys Jeep has been parked without being started for 5 years. It was driven to the spot where it is now. Has all running gears, trans, transferr case, axles etc.
Everthing is still on motor. Jeep ran good before being parked. Transmission is gummed up and stuck where it has been sitting for so long! Has 2 original fuel cans.
No top or doors! Windsheld in great shape! Body very rough. Everything else would be great for parts. HAVE TITLE!! This was my Dads Jeep. He gave it to me when I moved to KY. to use on our farm. If not sold I will restore it myself at a later date!”

“I listed this Jeep a number of weeks ago for $2500, a very reasonable price, I thought. Several people looked at it but it didn’t sell. I have too many cars and even too many Jeeps. I need to find a new home for this post WWII Jeep. It has original four cylinder motor that was rebuilt at some point, new tires, an after market overdrive. ( previous owner used it as daily driver). the engine driven winch has a piece of metal broken off of it so doesn’t work. There had been quite a lot of rust on it. This was repaired with 18 gauge steel welded in. It has new paint. This Jeep will make a fun and inexpensive (compared to a all terrain vehicle) toy or a good working vehicle. I think the carb may need to be replaced or rebuilt because I have to keep choke out or it stalls”

HOG spotted this Hotchkiss. The mileage is stated as 3195, which seems a bit low.
“Body: excellent, no damage, paint appears to be original. Radio interference suppression system throughout. Radio racks and antenna mounts installed, but no radios or antennas. Top bows, Beachwood Canvas summer top. 3 seats (driver, passenger, and single rear seat for radio operator). Axe and shovel. Gas can (5 gallons, red). Spare tire. French army # 645-0444 on front bumper and on left rear bumperette, along with French tricolor emblems. Electrical: 24 volt system (as set up for French Army radio jeep); electric wipers; NATO headlamps. Mechanical: Willys of France (Jeep) 4 cylinder engine, LaMaltournee ’74 w/Solex carb. Jeep runs and drives well, 4wd operates smoothly. Tires: 5 NDT tires with tubes, less than 750 Km’s since new. Odometer indicates 3,159 Km’s driven. Data plates: Willys. Hotchkiss data plates apparently removed and replaced prior to sale in U.S., but Hotchkiss I.D. plate on frame is intact. Title: CLEAR US Title; all French documentation included. “1953 Jeep Willys CJ3B. Great running reliable Jeep willys originally purchased by US Navy for base use as depicted on plaque installed on dash. Not a show quality vehicle but not a rust bucket and no areas needing to be addressed. Original color was orange for naval base use to identify allied vehicles. Used on weekends with my kids for parades, jeep events, and beach trips. It has a great running 4 cylinder with manual transmission .Starts right up every time,no leaks, Has tow bar, 4 Wheel drive works as it should with no mechanical issues whatsoever. Tires installed within last year. Has spare tire not mounted. Hard top can be removed and comes with alternate windshield and glass. Seat covers are like new. Interior has been completely covered in soundproofing to reduce exterior noise. All lights, blinkers, turn signals, radio, work perfectly.
Absolutely nothing wrong with this vehicle just not being used enough to justify keeping. Classic insurance is only 85.00 per year and qualifies for classic QQ tags and registration.”
