1962 FC-170 Oxford, CT **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: FC150-FC170-M677 • TAGS: This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

(10/10/2010) This looks this has been put to use.

“1962 willys jeep fc170. The jeep just came from Arizona. I was going to restore it but a different opportunity came along.

It has not run in about three years. It has a pto winch and a mico brake lock system, not sure how it works but looks like its factory

installed. There is some rust through the driver’s side floor but is small and should be an easy fix. The rest of the cab is very solid.

The bed is in fairly good shape. There is some rust through the floor in the front, not big at all, about 12″x12″. The rest of the bed looks good, despite a a few small dents, but is very solid. All the id plates are still there. The brakes do not work. The clutch appears to work.

It needs a driver’s side window and windshield is cracked. The jeep needs to be restored and gone through to make it road worthy.

It would be a fun project for the right person; these jeeps are getting hard to find without being rotted beyond repair.

The jeep has been on the west coast. This is the first time it has been on the east coast. It is stored in a 20′ shipping container on my property so its out of the weather.”

“Selling my 1943 Jeep GPW (at least it’s titled as a 43) Check VIN#, Frame # etc. to judge for yourself.

Body # not found since glove box door is missing

This Jeep was sitting in a dry barn for the last 26 years

1943 “Woodie” Wagon Goldalming, Surrey, UK **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Features, Unusual, Wood bodies • TAGS: , , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: This has been rebuilt. See this post.

Vince spotted this unique bit of jeep history. It is beautiful! For us history nuts the seller has included some helpful information, too.

“1943 Willys Jeep “Woodie” Stationwagon. Purchased by Willenhall Coachcraft in 1947 from Military surplus sale. Converted to current condition and sold to the Earl of Shewsbury in June 1948.

It was sold in 1961 to Victoria Garage in Stoke on Trent, who then sold it to a Harry Hughs of the same town and then it later changed hands to an AD Broom of Norwich, where it laid in a shed which then became derelict.

In late 2004, the jeep was finally discovered by Fred Smith, a very prominent and recognised Jeep collector, who sold it to the current owner for restoration in 2005.

It has undergone a very thorough restoration, including complete remanufacture of all woodwork, back to the exact specification matching the original condition it left Willenhall Coachcraft in 1948.

There were 95 conversions of this type carried out by Willenhall, and this is the last known example, making it extremely rare indeed.

All woodwork, engine, chassis and fabrication was carried out by the current owner. Paintwork by Andy House Body Repairs of Liphook, Hampshire. Chrome by SilvaBronz of Alton, Hampshire. Trim by Jeff Mussell and Son, Godalming, Surrey.

The jeep is being sold as new since being restored by myself. V5 present, taxed, MOT’d. Registered with the plate now on 125 YUP.

Included in the sale of this vehicle is as follows:
· Photographic history of restoration
· Buff logbook (dating back to first registration)
· Photography of original vehicle and Willenhall Coachcraft History by Archie Templeton-Dick, Historian.
More photos of the jeep and the restoration can be found on Universal Jeep Supplies’ facebook page.

The number plate, NRF 9 is not included with the sale but im offering this for £10,000 separately.”

UPDATE:  **SOLD** Was $1500

“1961 willys wagon with a straight 6 and manual transmission. Engine starts and turns over, but it needs someone with some mechanical skills to fix a few things. It has a plow and a winch. the winch is a PTO winch and is very heavy duty. It would be a great truck for someone who needs a plow, or needs a work truck. I dont have a title and it will probably need to be towed out of the yard.”

1962 Truck & Trailer Spanish Fork, UT on eBay

• CATEGORIES: trailer, Willys Trucks • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE:  Back on eBay

(10/25/2012) This is a nice looking combo.

“1962 Willy’s pickup with matching willy’s trailer included, trailer is from approximately the 1950’s. Original equipment body, frame, 5 rims, glass, front bumper, and much more. New gas tank and sending unit. Things that need fixing include temperature gauge, gas gauge, wipers system and some oil leaks. Most everything else works fine but could use more attention. The engine clutch and back bumper are from a 1974 Chev 1/2 ton truck and the engine runs well. I do not deliver, buyer is responsible for making arrangements to get the vehicle. The paint looks nice but the paint preparation was not all professionally done so there are areas of the body work that are not smooth. Drives with some roughness and noise but is sound and functional. Nice vintage vehicle that is usable and fun.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1800.

(11/01/2012) The body and frame look good, but there is no engine or tranny.

“this a clean little cj3b. i bought it to build but have no time. the previous owner was converting to put a v8 or v6 in it. the body is cherry, no rusted floors. it does not have motor or tranny. the frame was taken apart and painted with the body off. he told me the brakes were rebuilt it has new universal joints. from what i can see it looks like the chassi is done. the body and paint are very clean. all you need to do is finish putting the motor and trans in and ad gauges and a wire kit. the wheels dont come with it. i have another set that came with the jeep when i got it. there’s allot of beat up ones out there that are allot cheaper but where are you gonna find one with a chassi all finished and a cherry body like this one.”

1955 Truck Missoula, MT eBay

• CATEGORIES: Willys Trucks • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

This nice truck is being auction with 100% of proceeds going to the Clark Fork Coalition which helps protect the Clark Fork Watershed.

“Original flat floor.Truck runs well. Model 6-226. 6 cylinder, 226 engine (correct engine for this model). A CID Flat head side valve engine. Engine has not been re-built, but engine has been re-sealed and gaskets changed. This is a point ignition. Body man and painter did meticulous body work. Very pretty truck. Runs well at 45 mph, geared low.

Full repairs done to the vehicle in 2011. I have a copy of the report that I can share. Basically, this is an amazing little truck. Our donor paid around $10,000 for the vehicle and then put another 10K of work into it … so with this new info it’s actually worth retail of close to 20K. Vin # 55268/11999.

Latest comp test in 2011 on the 6 cylinder engine – all fired at 110 except #3 which fired at 105 – still really good.

The only items of note: Some rust on the floor but this was covered with a plate of sheet metal in the 2011 repair. See photo. And, all cab mounts eventually need to be replaced.

I am receiving a lot of emails about this. If you prefer to talk in person please email me through eBay to set up a time. I am on staff at the nonprofit running the auction but will answer questions best I can.
Thanks,
Clark Fork Coalition”

1951 Truck Independence, MO **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Trucks • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay

(12/05/2012) Randy forwarded this eBay listing.  This sure has rusted beautifully!

“1951 Willys Jeep 4X4 Pickup Truck. This is a project that is currently not running and has been setting for the last 30 years. This is a very restorable truck that is a rock crawler waiting to happen. The drive train is complete from engine to rear end. The engine appears not to be original because it is an over head valve, and the engine is locked up and will not turn over, the remainder of the drive train was in working condition when the truck was parked. Although the body is 99% surface rust it is actually very solid and straight. The cab is very nice as is the roof, hood, cowl, grill, rock guard, and doors and these pieces should clean up for paint with very little effort. The fenders are all on the rough side but are repairable. The bed is also very straight but does have through rust in the bed sides and in the floor. The tailgate has minimal rust and will need some work. The glass is all in place except the driver door wing window, the rest of the glass is either frosted or has bubbles from old age and will need to be replaced, but it is all flat glass and should be very economical to replace. The interior is rough, the seat frame and springs are in place but will need to be recovered. All of the guages are in place and the dash appears to be complete. The wheels all turn freely and the tires all hold air, but are 30 years old and dry rotted. All 5 wheels are original to the truck with the factory pin stripe barley still showing. I have tried to decribe this old Jeep the best of my ability, but have probably missed something that you need to know, if so just ask. If you would like to inspect it in person prior to the end of the auction again just ask and arrangements will be made. This Jeep comes with a good Missouri title. The buyer will be responsible for all transpotation costs if required, but I will be willing to assist in loading or pickup on this end if needed. If you are looking for a project or just some good parts you should give this one some serious consideration.”
