UPDATE: **SOLD for $650**
This is missing the radiator, but it looks solid.
“What you are looking at is a REALLY cool opportunity for a rat rod, or a restoration, or a neat little delivery vehicle for your auto parts biz. This is a 2 wheel drive Willy’s DJ-3a dispatch Jeep. lots of people think they were for the post office, but they were generic delivery vehicles. lots of small businesses in the 50’s and 60’s ran these.
The Jeep is relatively complete with column shift etc. It is missing the radiator. The motor etc is a little bit mystery, as this Jeep hasn’t been registered since the 70’s
DMV said not to do anything as far as registration until your ready to put on the road. Which means NO TAXES!!!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.

It has power bucket seats in front and I have the originals too. Body is 100% complete. First $7000 gets it.”

“I am selling my 1955 Willy M38A1, that I have restored myself, not by a professional restorer and registered in Nueces County for $9,500. The engine, however; was overhauled by a professional mechanic. The unit has new brake lines, fuel tank, seat cushions and various other items listed below. I am interested in selling it to someone that is interested in the continued preservation of this rare military vehicle. It is 59 years old, therefore it is not in perfect condition and will be sold as is. It is asked that only serious interested buyers contact me at show contact info or text me with your name and number at same. These military vehicles are hard to come by and even those that are non-running rust buckets sell for a premium. Those who are knowledgeable about these vehicles know that these are off road vehicles and not the smoothest riding vehicles or the quietest riding vehicles. Vehicle is being sold as is, where is, with no written warranties.

My father had paid someone to get it running and shortly after he got it running it was parked in the barn on a farm. I just recently went down to pick it up to sell it. I know that it is not currently running, but it was running before it was parked. My father has since passed away so I have no more information on the jeep. It is really very cool it is a must see.”
