Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a Parade ready 1944 Ford GPW Jeep. It has a rebuilt transmission, a new water pump, and new rear brakes. It has also been changed over to 12 volt with an alternator. It has a Kansas Title in my name, and starts and drives great. The Jeeps Vin # is 173577.”

“1952 WILLYS M38A1 MILITARY JEEP”
Blaine found this unusual CJ-5. The seller claims it was special ordered by Henry Kaiser, then given to the Boy Scouts. Hopefully, the seller can substantial the claim. Even without that pedigree, this is an awfully stock jeep in very good shape.

“This is a 1960 CJ five with 35,000 original miles. The jeep is from Hawaii. Henry J Kaiser gave this jeep to the Boy Scouts in Hawaii. The Boy Scouts sold raffle tickets as a fundraiser. When the jeep was about a year old. It wound up in Paso Robles. The man owned it past away. I Purchased a jeep 15 years ago. The stoop is always been under cover in store and in storage. It is in great condition. The color of the jeep, is the same colors as the Royal Hawaiian hotel in Hawaii. Which was also owned by Henry J Kaiser. The main body of the jeep which is painted a darker pink is the same as the hotel The light pink that is used on the grill. He’s also the same color as the trim color on the hotel. The color of the seats are the color of the tile roof that is on the hotel. This is also the same colors of used on Kaiser s Sand and gravel trucks. This jeep has an absolutely fabulous history. and I believe that it is the only CJ five. In these colors as it was a special order by Henry J Kaiser and sell.”

“It’s time to sell my 1948 Willy’s CJ2a Jeep. Price is $14,000. Facebook won’t allow my price. I’ve owned this Jeep for about 4 years and have had a great time with it. It’s now time for someone else to enjoy.
I’ve driven this Jeep around many back roads of New Jersey sometimes putting upwards of about 150 to 200 miles on it in a weekend. It always starts and runs like a champ. Got into it in the middle of May after its long winters nap and after a couple of pumps on the accelerator pedal and a few seconds cranking the engine it sprang to life! Installed new exhaust, spark plugs and fuel filter just to get it running. Everything else is completely stock.
Comes with original windshield and front tow bar. New glass just not installed in windshield. Old softop was too far gone to keep.

“I have decided to let go of my rare M170 Willys Front Line Ambulance. This vehicle is in very good condition and has undergone a comprehensive refreshment with new wiring, a rebuilt engine, new hoses, clamps and fluids, a new top and canvas cushions and it comes with an in-and-out military snorkel kit and a folding stretcher.
The vehicle operates on a 24 volt system with new, twin in-line batteries as well as high and low positons for four wheel drive when taken out of two wheel drive for the pavement. Starts, runs, shifts and stops, just like it should. Note that this vehicle will top out at 50 mph, so it is not meant for the highway.
There are a few minor items that need attention such as fixing the gas gauge and oil temp gauge and possibly replacing the steering wheel (have the correct new one) if desired. Most anything is available through online suppliers. Also, the full enclosure and doors are available as well ($4,500).

“Nice fairly solid old flat fender that runs, drives and stops. Luzon Red appears to be the original color but was repainted long ago and a little body work was done as well.
Comes with extra tranfer case and transmision and proper Carter WO carb (has a aftermrket carb that is finnicky currently installed). Converted to 12v. New tires and new battery.
It seemed approriate to add old growth Redwood planks fastened to the seats, it glows a bit I think. The key has a prevoius owners name engraved on it (Larry’s). I’ve noticed that it has two bullet holes in the body. At one point in its life it was on a yacht and was craned on and off to land and boat.
Not willing to negotiate price nor am I looking for trades. Cash only

Affordable summer fun in a classic convertible starts here. The Jeepster was produced by Willys Overland for only 3 years, 1948-1950 with slightly more than 1100 produced in the final year. There were sales in 1951 but they were rebadged 1950 leftovers. This particular Jeepster is a wonderfully fun car that has been increasing in value steadily.
Apparently, someone at Willys Overland thought that the GI’s returning from the war would love to have a “Jeep” of their own that was family sized. As it turned out, most of the GI’s had their fill of Jeeps and sales went over like a lead balloon. This extremely limited production of Jeepsters makes them a rarity today.

“1942 Willy’s MB WWII jeep with soft cover and military wagon. MP (military police) version with siren. Runs good but has some oil leaks. Recently tuned up with new points, cleaned carburetor, new fuel pump and new 8V battery. Was restored by a WWII war veteran (my wife’s grandpa) in the early 1980’s. “Selling my M38 G-740 Korean War jeep. Great candidate for restoration or drive as is. T-90 3 speed transmission hi-lo and 4×4 in and out. Clean title in my name ready to transfer. These jeeps are better than any side by side UTV hands down. New tires and new “correct exhaust”. The jeep could use brake and steering adjustments. Lights aren’t hooked up. It has all the data plate minus one. Has the data plate behind the passenger seat too. Runs strong, will do 55+ mph. Looking for Ford GPW or parts.”
UPDATE II: This sold on eBay for $20,300.
UPDATE: I thought this had sold on eBay 09/2020. On the ebay ad the extra plate could be seen. It is a remanufactured jeep, completed by the Moore Corporation (data plate on dash).
The seller of this jeep, which as been stored for 50 years, claims this is all original. But, this Willys MB had GPW tool lids. It also has a small plate, probably a reconditioning plate, above the standard data plates. I wish there was a close-up pic of the dash.
