About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Low mileage restoration, very clean inside, outside, top and bottom all metal fab done by previous owner and great attention to detail on every part! This wagon just sold on eBay for $18,000. The inside sure looks nice, but the outside could use work.
“Sweet baby Jesus! This truck is cool! This little beauty is a 1962 Willys Wagon Overland with only 23,343 original miles. It has lived its entire life in Story, Wyoming plowing a 60′ driveway. It has always been maintained by the previous owners son who has been a mechanic for 30+ years. It starts, runs and drives great! It still has good power, shifts good but does need a little brake work as it pulls to the right when you brake. It is still running its original drivetrain with a 6-226 Super Hurricane motor and a 3 speed manual transmission and working 4×4.
The undercarriage if free from any corrosion or rust as is the rest of the truck. The floor boards are solid and it even has the original floor mats that are in exceptional shape. It also has the original seat belts, upholstery and headliner that are in amazing shape for their age. The tube radio still works when it gets warmed up and sounds pretty darn good. It has one small tear in the seat but nothing big enough to want to take the originality away. ”

“This 1958 Jeep has been totally redone from the frame up. It has a Chevy 350 high output motor with over 300 horsepower. It has updated power breaks, a 4-speed manual transmission, custom tires and rims, radio with amp, and 2 outdoor speakers. The interior of the jeep has line-x. This jeep only has 100 miles on the rebuild.”
“This is my Willys 47′ CJ2A. I found a new project Jeep that I want to restore so I’m putting her up for sale. New odometer reads miles since rebuild. I put a ton of hours into her. It was a farm Jeep originally then a car collector did a quick fix up on her. Body is solid. Only bondo was where they took off the spare tire holder to customize it a bit. The spare tire support in the wheel well was kept in tact. They changed her color to red. Under the gas tank and other concealed spots found her true gray color. Originally I was going to drive it “as is” but every pinion yoke leaked badly due to the leather seals that were still on her. Then I found the gas tank leaked as well as the radiator. The brakes needed new cylinders and the wiring was brittle. Transfer case we as ok but the transmission would kick out of second gear when down shifting. The “Go Devil” flat head motor ran ok but had the problematic cracks above and below the distributor. I can go on.
Now here’s what I did to her.
Liz asked me to list this CJ-5 for her. Looks like some nice work has been done. The dash is particularly interesting.

“1958 Willys CJ3B
This is the “High Hood” Jeep that replaced the CJ3A with the introduction of the Hurricane engine. That engine replaced the flathead Go Devil with overhead valves and a little more horsepower. I bought the vehicle in October of 2011 with the intention of a full restoration, but as I got into it I decided to concentrate on the mechanicals and make it roadworthy and reliable, then use it for light off-roading.
Since then I have just under $ 12,000 in it. $ 3500 up front, and $ 8200 in parts. Here’s a partial list:
• Full engine teardown and rebuild, mid 2014. Only about 600 miles since then. Rings haven’t even fully seated yet.
• Monstaliner bedliner on floor
• New speedometer and cable
• New gas tank
• New temp switch
• New carb
• New water pump
• Grab handle
• Heavy duty shackles
• Air cleaner hose
• New springs and shocks
• Headlight switch
• New u-joints rear
• New radiator
• Five new NDCC tires and tubes (period correct, like mil tires)
• New spare tire mount
• New windshield
• New battery
• New clutch Continue reading →
