Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “All original Korean War Era 4×4 Jeep. Mechanically sound and no rust through anywhere ( some surface peel ). Runs like a top.
Two sets of tires and wheels, full curtains including radiator quilt, canvas seat covers and 2 new 12Volt batteries.
This rare original has seen minimal use. It appears to have been an officer’s jeep because it has a heater. Markings include “82 AB” and “HQ” on front bumper. Jerry can on the back.
Can be seen by appointment. Call with any questions. No long emails, texts. Not interested in any low ball offers and no help needed in selling. Garage kept and as good as you will find for its age.”

“Fantastic Willys wagon, California Surf Mobile. Very Desireable, very driveable, very cool Willys Wagon. 305 V8, Automatic transmission, radio CD player.
This is a wonderful Calfornia Willys that gets attention every time you drive it. Kids, Adults, and even Seniors all love this car.
Because it has a 305 V8 rather than the stock 4 Cylinder engine it is fine on the Freeway. Quite simply it’s fun car to drive.

Craig spotted this one. It’s got some unusual mods. The ceiling work looks interesting.

Maury spotted this one-off CJ-5 backhoe tractor combo. He wrote, “I was helping my brother in law pick up some car parts this past weekend, and ran across this interesting CJ5-based vehicle. It was made by the guy who owned the business that was selling the car parts, and he told me it was a one-off he created years ago in Michigan in the hope of successfully marketing it.
The CJ5 body was bought new from AMC separately, and installed on the heavy steel frame he created for it. He said the resulting vehicle was the only loader-backhoe he knew of that could go 80 m.p.h.!”

“1946 CJ2a garage kept since we have owned it, 1988. The Jeep has been kept in a storage unit for the past 3 years. Vacuum wipers, 12 volt system, key start though floor starter switch still there, we have the Gerry cans, was re-upholstered and repainted in the 90’s, I put a battery in it and primed the carb she started right up, great Jeep, She’s a beauty, $7500 or BO. I’m in Harrisburg, Jeep is in Leola so we would need to meet there.”

(04/15/2016) Looks like a clean rebuild.
“1946 Willys CJ-2A fully restored. This is a non-military model. Complete ground up/frame off restoration on this vehicle. The only thing that was not fully rebuilt was the engine (it had plenty of compression and was super clean). Differentials, transmission, and transfer case have all new gears, bearings, and seals. New master brake cylinder along with new brakes and brake cylinders at all four wheels. New clutch, pressure plate, and release bearing. Synthetic lube in all gear boxes and silicone brake fluid. Tires are new non directional tires and it has always been garaged since it was completed. Over $15,000 worth of parts were used (not including labor and materials such as welding rods, hardware, etc). System was converted from 6V to 12V and turn signals were added. The rest of the vehicle is original.Two and a half years were spent putting this all together and it looks factory new. Great to take to shows. Gets a lot of attention.
Complete proceeds from the sale of this Willys will be going to our church. Asking $20,000, which is a more than fair price given all that was done to this vehicle.”

I don’t see anything to indicate this is a 1945 2A. More likely a 1946 given the triple dash plates.

“We are selling our original 1951 Willy’s Army Jeep. This jeep has the original Overland Jeep Arctic Top and Doors and gas heater. It is in the same condition as when I bought it 6 years ago. All I have done is replace spark plugs, submergable wires and batteries. I have enjoyed this jeep, have only driven it in a few parades. You can view the jeep on youtube to see it run. I welcome any and all questions, so please ask. I am not a jeep mechanic, and I do not know alot about them. I am just a military enthusiast. Nor have I read all the books.
