Here’s a cool, custom 4 door truck.
“What you see here is a 1948 willys crewcab custom conversion, the back doors are suicide mounted. The conversion was done about 10 years ago and has held up very well. The interior has a stock bench rear seat, with a storage well beneath it. The front seats are cavalier buckets(grey) that do not match the buckskin on the rest of the interior. The truck has been on the road for the better part of decade and needs some freshening (to your tastes). The drivetrain is a Fresh rebuilt 454, .030 over with .500 lift cam and big oval heads, has performer intake with new performer carb, headers and a light porting on the heads. This thing is a tourque monster! will burn the tires at will.Tranny is a turbo 350 rebuilt approx. 2000 miles ago with a shift kit and billet internals, transfer case is np205 gear drive with 1350 rear joints, 1310 front joints. Front axle is scout 2 with disk brakes, rear axle is ford 9” 31 spline with spool, both are geared 3.73.Body exterior is painted flat black with a ton of custom pinstriping and paint work, looks like it has been tattooed!Paint is about 5 years old and has some issues (passenger rear door opened up at 60 mph, cracked a little but held up well!) but is still real good looking , especially if you like the rat rod look.Only reason its for sale is to fund a new project.Happy bidding!

“I have a Flat Fender Willys Jeep but registered as a 1966. It has a rebuilt Buick V6 with only about 500-600 miles on the engine. The transmission is a Chevy truck 4-speed with a granny-low and Jeep transfer case. The tires are fairly new with about 250 miles on them…all in the sand at Pismo. The top is in like new condition with no hazing on the plastic “windows” or any tears in the canvas. The front seats are in like new condition, as well. It has been kept in the garage as long as I have had it, about 4 years. The carb. has been rebuilt and the battery is new. Tags are up-to-date and good until June of 2011. I have about $5500 in it, it can be yours for only $4500 or best offer. You will turly love this off-road vehicle. If interested, call 209.823.6063.”

“Must Sell! Price dropped. Very nice body. Parked for a few years with broken clutch linkage -otherwise all there. Was a driver when the linkage broke. ”
I located a couple good pics of MOMA’s 1952 M-38A1 which was donated by the DaimlerChrysler Corporation Fund. I would suggest calling ahead to make sure this is still on display if you want to see it. However, the M-38A1 is not the first jeep to be highlighted by MOMA. In September of 1951, the Museum of Modern Art in New York decided to exhibit iconic automobile design as pure elements of art & design. One of the eight vehicles chosen was the M-38, with the description as a “sharply rational vehicle”. You can read more about that at the Jalopy Journal.
This pic is from a snapper of of NYC images for the NYCPIX blog. There are some good, everyday sort of pics. If you’ve spent time in NY, you’ll enjoy this site.
This photo is also from a NYC image blog.

‘Early column shift low serial nomber Jeep. Great shape and alot of new parts. Needs very little. Great collectors Jeep.”
This looks like a solid back consistent with some DJ-3As. I’m assuming this has been modified with 4wd?

“Wow…..here’s a very rare and very unique piece of American Automotive History!!!! 1957 Jeep FC-150 4×4 Pickup. This gem is a well-preserved, 2-owner, ultra-low-mile vehicle fresh out of a private collection, available here to the general public for the first time since in was new!!! The original owner of more than 50 years lived in a remote area of the Northwest and owned 2 vehicles……..an air-conditioned Cadillac and, you guessed it, this 1957 Jeep Pickup that he special-ordered and bought brand new. One vehicle he used for his weekly commute to town in the summer, the other, in winter. The Jeep lived a privileged life, clocking just a tad over 13K original miles on the odometer!!!!!! The truck has been regularly maintained over its entire life, and looks, runs and drives great. The Hurricane 4-cylinder motor starts easy and runs like a watch. It is easy to drive, feels safe and secure and the cab-forward design gives the driver great visibility and excellent maneuverability. A very rare, very collectible vehicle……and a very rare opportunity……don’t miss out!!! Call today! Tel: 360-416-4995 …”
