This Jeep is sporting a 1963 Chevy II 153 cid four cylinder with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission pushing power through the original T-18 transfer case. Four wheel drive is still operational, drive shafts have been shortened and lengthened as necessary professionally. The car is completely rewired with a Painless harness for an 80’s CJ. Thermostatic electric fan for the cooling system, pertronix ignition system, chrome valve cover, lifter covers, coil, and starter motor.
All of the body seams have been removed, Vega tail lights mounted sideways in the rear, aftermarket reverse lights, polished diamond plate step covers, polished diamond plate panel over steering in front, S-10 rear bumper with ’94 Sububan center insert, power brake booster, cup holders front and rear, later model Jeep seats front and rear with Willy logo stitched in to head rests on front seats, retractable seat belts front and rear, electric wipers left and right, AM/FM CD with MP3 capabilities, one soft top with removable doors and one bimini top, heater and Cadillac horns, they are LOUD!
Bed liner inside the tub, Locar shifter, custom dash with later model Jeep gauges, the gas tank has been moved to the rear with later model Jeep gas hole on the drivers side rear, custom lockable glove box under the drivers seat keyed to the ignition key, sealed from weather so you can keep the registration out of the weather,store the radio face and maybe your walet a lockable storage box under the back seat also keyed with the ignition key, steering is later model Jeep Saginaw with closed knuckle spicer in front, Dana’s front and rear, chrome cover on the front, steering stabilizer and matching shocks, parking brake mounted to the floor between the seats, custom made floor mats front and rear, roll bar with retractable seat belts for the driver and passenger, I have the set up to install the Sirius radio back in this car, I had it taken out a while ago, plugs into the radio already in the car.
Paint is PPG base coat clear coat, very nice finish all of the hardware is stainless, such as the hood hold downs, all of the visible exterior nuts and bolts etc. This car took a best in show at a local car show earlier this year. It is not a trailer queen, it drives and off roads like a Jeep should.There is a crack in the paint on the drivers side about two inches long, paint is five years old and still looks very very good. Crack is not even visible with the soft top installed which is what is normally on this car year round, we found the crack when we installed the bimini in the spring of this year, so not sure how long it’s been there…”
