‘I have for sale a beautifully restored World War II original Army jeep. This is the real thing! Not a civilian version but an actual war production jeep! It is a GPW made by Ford on a contract during the war using the Willys design.
This jeep needs nothing but a driver. I’ve owned it for 6 years now and enjoyed ever minute of it. The ONLY reason I’m letting it go is because I need the money for another project that I’ve found.
This jeep has everything! It has a new canvas top hot summer days. It has a new canvas windshield cover for blackout operations, along with new canvas headlight and mirror covers for blackout operations. The blackout light do work. This jeep has all of the accessories: fire extinguisher, oil can, first aid kit, shovel, axe, gas can, water can, rifle rack, and tow rope. The tires are so new they even still have most of the rubber nipples on them!
I also have a 37mm anti tank cannon axle that I was going to build a replica of and tow behind the jeep for display. These are very hard to find because most of them were cut up after the war. This axle is complete from hub to hub and only had couple of brackets cut off of it during the demilitarizing process from the government. I also have 2 wiring harnesses to go with the axle that were used to clamp the tail lights onto the barrel of the cannon during transport.
If you buy the jeep I will add in the axle and wiring harnesses with clamps and tail lights at no additional charge. Other wise I will sell the axle for $700 alone with the harnesses.
I d have a free and clear title for it in NC.”

For Sale: One of a Kind 1947 Willy’s WWII Military Jeep (CJ-2A)
This Jeep has been carefully rebuilt from the ground up over 3 years by my father, a retired certified ASEA mechanic. Starting from a sandblasted frame, new-off-shelf (N.O.S) parts were used whenever possible. Every piece has been carefully rebuilt and reassembled – you won’t find a cleaner, or more authentic rebuild of a 1947 Willy’s. “I have a restored 1954 Willys M38A1 Military Jeep for sale. Delivered to the Army in February 1954. Runs excellent. Newly rebuilt fuel pump. Engine runs at a steady 50 pounds of pressure and purrs like a kitten. The body is 99% rust free and original. Has all 3 seats,top bows,still all 24 Volt electrical, correct gas tank, new canvas winter top,top bows,jerrycan,pintle hook, shovel,axe, new canvas seat cushions, parking brake works, transmission shifts great(very smooth),new clutch, transfer case works great as does the 4 wheel drive. Has 5 brand new(100 miles on them) Military NDCC tires, correct rims, has had all new brakes put on. New exhaust system. Windshield wipers and all lights work. Has 2 new 12 volt batteries. “1958 Jeep Willys Utility Wagon
Original Super Hurricane 6 Cylinder Engine. 3 spd Manual Transmission. Runs and drives. 4wd Lock-out Hubs.
Body and frame in excellent condition. Drivers side floor pan has been replaced. Stainless steel trim all intact. Clear MN title.
Brake Master Cylinder needs replacement. Will need to be trailered home.
Head liner and interior door panels have been removed in preparation for restoration. Have originals for use as a template. Also have original wood strips for the bed, but they’re not installed. Several side windows are missing, but have the original glass (some are broken). Also have new rubber window seals.”

Too many things to list here but the jeep features disc brakes, steering upgraded to all steel knuckles, rockers are Crane Cams Gold Race, Dynomax Super Turbo mufflers, new rims and tires 33″ all terrain, engine was custom built by SFD Engines of Dallas 330 hp & 425 foot lbs torque.”
This looks great, though I’m a little surprised it wasn’t redone with the column shift. That got me thinking, was it possible to order an early CJ-2A with a floor shift?
“Very early production with matching numbers. This Jeep has undergone a complete ground-up restoration to original condition. It has the original 134cid 4 cylinder engine and T90 3-speed manual transmission with T-18 Spicer transfer case. Each and every piece on the classic Jeep has been dissembled, media blasted, rebuilt, reconditioned or replaced to achieve its as new condition. This Jeep has been finished in the correct Pasture Green color with Autumn Yellow wheels with Pasture Green pinstripe. This Jeep has less than 100 miles since restoration.
