Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Great little Jeep that is equally at home off road as it is at a car show. Can be flat towed easily behind an RV. Runs excellent and 4×4 works great. Largely original with only significant modification being an upgrade from 6 volt to 12 volt. All five tires are brand new. Has military rifle holder between seats. Currently registered and insured and street driven. Gets tons of smiles and thumbs up driving around on the street. Has a good Arizona title. “1963 Jeep Fleet Van FJ3-A. Cute as can be, very rare, and a great conversation piece! Many people have stopped and asked me what kind of vehicle it is! 15 years ago it had a 1973 4 cylinder Pinto 2.0 engine transplant, and in 2007 a professionally rebuilt transmission by Marty’s Transmission of Portland. I have owned it for 28 years and have driven it very little since 2007 and did use it for an ice cream truck for about 7 years, and it has been in several parades. Its size is 12 ft. long, 5 ft. wide, and 7 ft. tall. The reason for selling it is that I have to find a happy new home for my beloved Biff Bus, as it is affectionately called. It has power brakes, an electric cooling fan for the engine, a nice array of marker and clearance lights, and a cassette car stereo. Some things on it that need work are: it needs a new alternator, has a little surface rust on the side and rear doors, and it needs new tags. $5,000 firm and no trades.”

Not totally original, but looks like a solid parade jeep.
“This is a 1944 Willys MB that saw service in Europe from 1944 through 1945; was sold surplus following the war; current owner bought the jeep in Germany in 1987 and returned the jeep to Baltimore in 1989. Jeep is in perfect running condition, has no rust, and has original seats and canvas top; engine is not the original but is a 1945 original Willys engine. Original transmission, transfer case, and axles however. Has been converted to 12-volt and has a non-original electrical wiring harness. This jeep could be fully restored to show condition or used as-is. Given olive drab coat of paint with World War II markings in 2000.”
