Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Another vehicle from the collection of Brian Hainer, long time restorer and collector. This jeep was restored to original condition as a garage service jeep. It has the original 4 cylinder, hurricane engine, T-98 transmission, model 70 dual rear wheel rear end, twin stick pto shifter to control front winch, rear wrecker winch, mid mount compressor. Also equipped with a pto adapter and a modern overdrive unit. Every last item on this jeep was completely disassembled, cleaned and rebuilt with mostly nos parts. I can go on and on about all the little details so if you are interested contact me and we can go over it in more detail. Over 3000 man hours and $75K in rebuild of this one of a kind vehicle”

“Up for sale is a 1948 Jeep Willys. It has work done from the bottom to top. It has a dana 30 and a dana 44 posi with 4.11’s. It has a ford 302 high performance motor attached to a c4 with a stage 2 shift kit and a B&M shifter. Full roll cage with a 42″ LED bar and two racing seats with 4 point harness. It has 33×12.50 mud terrains on some flat black procomp wheels. Everything on the jeep is powder coated and was painted recently.”

“This is a 1946 I did as a Navy Shore Patrol Tribute It has 4cyl engine, 3 speed all original It runs great.
I did change to 12 volt and electric fuel pump for easy starting
It has 5 new military tires, brakes done I have a black best top but like it without the top.
It has something I have not seen before a factory installed PTO on rear and it works.”

(04/24/2014) Looks like this is a VEC body. Has an f-head.
“For being 68 yrs old, this is a very nice vehicle. It has matching frame and body serial numbers and numerous newer parts including:
– “F” Head 90 hp motor
– rebuilt transmission
– 12 volt conversion with remanufactured generator
– carburetor
– solenoid, coil, starter & battery
It certainly isn’t perfect, but it’s hard to expect more for the age and the price.”
