“1947 CJ2A Willys Jeep. It’s dark blue, not quite the original color Normandy Blue. The wheels are painted black. The serial number which if one assumes a linear production schedule for 1947, this Jeep rolled off the assembly line in early April.
Seat belts have been installed along with a roll cage. It has a new Parade cloth top which is supported by after market top irons. Rebuilt TRICO windshield wiper motor installed. After wiper motor installed (both pneumatic wipers work) and the heater works too. The mileage when I purchases it was 18,418. Since I purchased it in 2011 I have logged 1,347 miles on it. It has a 4 cylinder, flat head engine with a 3 speed manual transmission. Any additional questions please contact me.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $4800.
(06/25/2015) The body looks good in the shadows, but does it look as good in the sun? 🙂

“Greetings, you are bidding on my 1958 Willys Forward Control 170 pick up. First, I know very little about anything mechanical, I bought this jeep out of a jeep collection in Houston, Texas. I have owned it for approx. one year. It has seen light work on my farm and was running fine until I decided to replace the points, distributor, spark plug wires, etc. It has not run since, my jeep friends seem to think the points are not set correctly. I don’t have the time to mess with it and more and it is taking up space in my barn. Tires are non-directional military and have good trend left gas gauge and heat gauge have never worked. Headlight, taillights and blinkers work, heater works.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8275.
Mike added the following information about this flattie: I live close by to this Jeep and know the owner. He has a full page of mechanical work, body and paint, all completed in 2012. He is retired and has replaced this one with a Wrangler. It runs great, looks great, mostly original. PTO, winch, period style heater, comes with a nice soft top. I missed buying it because I was about halfway done with mine before I saw this one.

A one-family jeep.
“Here’s your chance to own an American Classic! This Willys Jeep has been in one family since 1948. The vehicle had a frame up restoration in the mid-1980s and is still in solid condition and good working order. It has been garage kept and meticulously maintained over the years. The car starts and runs great. All of the wiring works (odometer needs connected).
If you are interested in purchasing or learning more about the Jeep please contact me by e-mail. I would be happy to send additional information and photos on request.”
