Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Seller has been told this is worth quite a bit ($25k). I’m less sure about that evaluation. I see nothing to suggest it is a 1941 FORD GP.

“1941 Ford Jeep; was an MP Jeep tricked out by the army Corp of engineers. Rebuilt 2000 miles ago by Max-Bilt. Looking to trade for older FJ, $15000 to $20000 or best offer. Also interested in trading for a 30HP or skid steer, or anything else interesting. Was told by Max-Bilt Off-Road that it’s worth $25000 without plow, and plow is not included. Currently camo paint.”
The frame horns suggest this is a CJ-2A chassis topped with a DJ-3A body and hardtop.

Tim shared this pic on Facebook (not for sale). It shows a jeep with a DJ-3A body and, possibly, a CJ-5 hardtop, both with a custom extension, atop a four wheel drive chassis. He plans to talk to the owner to learn more about it.
This project includes a Porter & Reed hardtop.

This has a Blue Star aluminum hardtop. This might have a patched driver’s side floor (can’t tell for certain).

“1948 cj2a Willy’s jeep w aluminum top. Mostly original. No spark cause I broke distributor cap. And needs new battery. Should run tho. I’m second owner. Title in my name and Oregon 1948 collectors plates so no need for tags. Alot of surface rust but not all thru.”
I had this post completed, but that was before I realized this may have a $16k price tag (I’m unsure on the exact price). Anyway, I thought the rear bumper was unusual. This has a Kelly hardtop.
