UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2850.
I’m unsure how much value is here. The hardtop is unusual.

Blaine shared this project. It appears to have a Sears Deluxe brand hardtop.

“What you’re looking at is a 1956 willys cj5 with a clear title, I’m selling for parts or a project. Though it is a little rough around the edges, this old jeep is very complete and stock minous the seats and my favorate part, the engine. Very early in its age, the 4 cylender was removed and it was hotroded with a Studibaker champion flat 6. It does run but needs a little work to make it drivable. The brakes need gone through, right now the pedal sits on the floor. It needs a water pump. It’s got a new fuel pump, new points&condenser, new coil, new ignition switch, new muffler. The body is in rough shape but could be repared. My plan was to preserve it the way it looks and get it back on the road but I have too many other projects. I’m asking $3500 for it but I’m open to cash offers only. No trades.”
This seems worth a look. Someone did a nice job of fitting that Ford hardtop onto the jeep.

“This is a legit ’43 Willys MB GPW (WW2 Jeep) with some killer, custom additions! It’s mostly stock, at someone point someone swapped in a ‘newer’ F-Head engine and added the hood bump to clear the carburetor. A cab roof and rear panel were cut from a ’32-33 Ford pickup and fit onto the MB, with the factory visor! The hard doors are home-built. It also has a custom rear step bumper, a couple 5 gallon gas cans in the bed, a draw bar for towing and a killer bench seat in great condition! The body is pretty straight and fairly solid, but there are some spots of rust. Mostly the floor supports under the ‘bed’, as it held water over the years. Unfortunately the F-Head engine is locked up solid… it’ll need a new engine. I do have a clean title in hand for it.”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $21,500.
(05/18/2024) Nice looking 3B with some updates.

There might be some value here. Great vintage slot rims. It looks like it has a pretty good roll cage. No engine at the $2000 price.

This jeep lived its unused-life in a heated garage. This jeep only has 1500 miles and that’s believable given the condition shown in the pics. Thanks to John for sharing this one.

“Purchased new by Rhode Island-based Scarpetti Oldsmobile for exclusive use as a snowplow, a letter from dealership owner Edward Scarpetti indicates that the odometer’s current claim of around 1,500 miles since new is to be absolutely believed.
A lifetime of storage inside a heated garage—except during snowfall—is evident in the exceptional original condition of the well-preserved paint and overall patination. Both the dealership’s hand-lettering and white-wall off-road tires are believed to be original as well, alongside the rarely preserved metal hardtop from Koenig Iron Works of Houston, Texas. The white model 520 “Jiffy Full Cab” top features removable doors and a built-in, high-powered backup light for plow duty, and presents a delightful contrast to the Jeep’s bright President Red paint.
Other than the removable hardtop and a period-correct, dash-mounted Oldsmobile badge from the late 1950s, this CJ -5 is unmodified and features its original 2.2-liter (134 ci) powertrain. CJs were roundly the most capable factory off-roaders of the 20th century, and this CJ-5 is no different with its two-speed 4×4 transfer case and locking front hubs, all backed by the original three-speed manual transmission—more than enough hardware to tackle any early CJ rally or enter sympathetic service as a ranch shuttle.”
This was listed at an estate sale just over a week ago. The sellers thought it worth $25k, but obviously it isn’t. It does look to have a column shift and tool indents.
