About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

Suspension reworked with lifted springs and a spring-over – Painted with OD Green Lacquer
Body –
Nice fiberglass tub painted with bed liner, now white plastic dip. Since its fiberglass there is no rust and since it weighs virtually 200 lbs, this thing hauls ass up until 35-40mph. Not geared for highway use. Continue reading →

Saturday morning in Ethel started with a driver’s meeting at 8:30am. This has been standard practice for decades, the intent being to let driver’s know of any changes to the schedule, heats, classes, and courses. Some folks always have a skip in their step, others, like me, not born as morning folks, view it as the crack of dawn. Eventually my caffeine kicked in and things began to make sense.
After the driver’s meeting is a parade of jeeps, something that I never remember doing. Most of the racers line up and slowly drive the obstacle course. Not only do you get to see the course first hand, but it seems like a great group activity.
The line was pretty long. If you look near the top of the photo you can see the beginning of the parade of jeeps.
The jeeps returning from their loop on the track.
Here’s a short video:
Once the parade was finished it was time to race. About that time, the drizzle began to fall, adding some extra water to the already muddy track. The kids lined up to race first. During that time Jeff Miller introduced himself to me. We’d exchanged emails not long after I started eWillys. At that time he shared his Jewel’s Stainless Jeep with readers. Jeff has been a regular reader of eWillys since.
For much of the 1990s Jeff raced a jeep, but then he put racing on hold. It wasn’t until this year that he finally assembled another racing so he could reenter the sport. Like me, he’s fond of the Bobcat and Parkette bodies, so it’s no surprise that his race uses a Parkette shell. The jeep is a little more old school, powered by a 331 Stroker connected to a Ford Toploader and Dana 20. Not much is jeep other than that Dana 20. The hood is a piece of aluminum that a shop rolled for him so the angles from the grille to the body would look correct. It’s a nifty, clean piece. Holding the hood to the fenders are some original, stamped, Jewels stainless latches. As you can imagine, my shirt was wet from my drool. It’s a beautiful rig and it’s obvious he’s proud of it.
Not sure why it is listed as a 1954. It does have a military body, so maybe it is a ’44? Has a Bobcat fiberglass hood. It includes a top, not pictures. Appears to be missing a muffler. Has full floating rears. If this is still around after we return from Billings I’ll check it out.
“1954 Willys Jeep 304 V8
Everything works. Needs exhaust and new switch for headlights. Have top and doors.

Fiberglass Body. Could be a Bobcat 3B body. It’s listed as a 1948.

Lots of upgrades, but still a project. It has a bobcat body with the passenger side gas inlet (life mine). I’d bet this is one of the early heavy bodies.
“42 willys flatty all glass body hood grill & fenders, bobcat products , smf motor needs rebuild no intake . ,t-150 3spd dana 20 transfer case dana 44 front alloy u-joints Detroit true trac with 5.38 ring &pinion , rear 44 welded 5.38 . 4 wheel disc brakes needs some tlc but great wheeler, also have 74 cj frame to go with. tires are 35-10.50-15 boogers three runs on them, no winch . my loss need to pay medical bills”
This hood has some unusual vents. It’s a good looking jeep. It looks like it has a bobcat fiberglass body as well.

The only reason I am selling is because I have two small girls and it is not practical as a “family” wheeler. So please no trades or low ball offers. You won’t find a cooler or better built willy’s around.”
This CJ-3A has a stretched Parkette fiberglass body and a bobcat fiberglass hood.

This good looking jeep likely has a Bobcat body. The license plates suggest the jeep is in Nevada, but the VIN/ID plate is from Washington. I’m surprised this only has a Dana 41 rear. Is that a thin air cleaner between two steal plates.
“This is in Excellent conditions. Fun for going off-Road up to the Mountain. This has a Dana 41 rear, with 44 rebuilt rear ready to go in. Dana 25 front. 11″ brakes. 2 1/2″ lift. It’s a project. That could be a Bobcat Fiberglass body.
“This is a 1946 Willy’s CJ2-A. frame is solid has been re-enforced. Fiberglass tub and fenders. Medal hood and grille. Have a truck load of parts that go with this jeep. Started as a project three years ago and haven’t touched it in a while. Motor ran good when I started working on it. Has a ton of new parts. All new brakes, lines master and wheel cylinders. Many many parts go with this jeep including two engine blocks cranks and two spare transmissions. It has chrome wheels and radial tires. Also have all four original jeep wheels in great shape. Asking $1,500 for EVERYTHING come take it all. Lot more invested.”
This looks like a great price. I’d like to know who made that body. It has an extra wide lip like the later bobcats, but the step cuts in like a more standard body.
“Fiberglass CJ2A complete Jeep body have extra front fender no hood”
UPDATE:**Status Unknown** Was $500. Note the hood looks like a teardrop Bobcat style.
Except for the dash, the body looks good. This is the third Parkette body I’ve seen in Georgia.
“Its 1946 frame with a 1964 fiber glass body on it. It has been painted with truck bed liner I have a tranny and transfer case that is good. The body’s in good shape its has a few places where the fiberglass has spider webbing. It has a few parts that come with it. I got in on trade just putting it on here to see what else is out there trades are welcome.”
(04/21/2012) This must be a bobcat Fiberglass 3B body.

Lots of custom work for this nice fiberglass crawler. I doubt there is much ’48 left. The body appears to be a Bobcat.
“All fiberglass flattie tub, hood, fenders, grill, steel Cj3a windshield. 38.5 Tsl sx dana 44 front, dana 60 rear dana 20 t case t18 tranny spooled f/r 4:10 gears 4wheel discs. UPDATE: This has been painted recently. Price dropped to $5000. This has the Bobcat CJ-3B Hood. Not too many of those out there.

(03/09/2012) Nice looking M-38, though the dash is a bit patched. This has the Bobcat fiberglass hood.

(05/12/2011) This has seen a variety of upgrades, including a fiberglass 3B body. I”m guessing by the wide rim that this is a Bobcat body.
“1954 Willys 3B High-Hood 4X4

Turbo 350 Automatic Transmission
Dana 300 Treanfercase
3/4 ton front and rear axles with 4.10 gears detroit posi traction front and rear

Warn 12,000lb winch

This might be a good price. This has the bobcat fiberglass hood.
“1945 willys cj2a with a 231odd fire Buick v6, rancho lift, dual battery set up, on board welder with high out-put alternator. E-mail your phone number”
That appears to be a Bobcat body, but I can’t tell for sure. This might a good price.
“Late 40’s Willys CJ2 tub and frame. The tub is aftermarket fiberglass and has never been used. The frame is very straight and has been boxed in. There are front fenders, grill, and hood, but no windsheild frame. Has been stoored inside. I also have many other odds and ends that can go such as a turbo 350 with 205 transfer case, brand new 35×12.50 15 wildcat xtx tires on wheels, jeep wagoneer axles, ect”
“The Jeep is a 1949 Willys on a custom 2×6 frame
Dana 44 front, Dana 60 rear shortened and braced
38″ swampers
327 v8
It is street legal!
Will throw in a BRAND NEW 8000lb winch w/remote if the deal is right
BAD: Steering comumn has play and the box leaks a little. I have another steering column for it
And this is a crawler! And I dont have a top or doors for it only a weathered bikini top”
(04/26/2011) This has a CJ-3B hood with a bobcat design on top. I don’t remember ever seeing one. This doesn’t have Willys on the side, so I’m assuming the entire hood is fiberglass.
“V8 ENGINE
