Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “FRESH OFF THE FARM!! RARE!! 1958 Jeep FC170 4×4, 226 6 cyl, Forward Control (Cab over) runs good, good body, no rust, painted frame. Has dump box, front winch and 8′ plow.”

Here’s a truck with a dump bed for only $1800.

I’m thinking this is a very rare opportunity. I’ve never seen this complement of snow devices on an FC-150.
“1959 Jeep FC-150 Engine Runs Great. New Tires. New Hydrolics to raise Blower. BLOWER is powered by 440Ci. RB with only 70000 miles. This engine replaced a 361 Ci. commercial High Torque engine that developed a rod knock, Totally REPAIRABLE. Also goes with DEAL !! Replace ment is partially complete. Varrious additional parts to both engines also included. LOTS OF FUN !! CASH ONLy !! NO reasonable offer refused”

The term ‘rare’ accompanies a variety of FC-150/170s.
“This extremely rare 1963 Jeep Willys FC-170 4X4 is both a stake bed pick up and a hydraulic dump bed. The trucks prior owner was into these vehicles in a big way and kept his eyes open for the right FC to purchase for over 15 years. He acquired this truck from the original owner and had it for another 15 years until illness forced the sale. The prior owner advertised this as “Very Complete & Original all the way down to the Windshield Washer Bag that hangs on the dashboard.”
