This section used to be split into jeeps, parts and other categories, but recent changes to eBay will require this information to be recoded.

Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Early cj2a tub, grill, tail gate, 2 hoods, windshield frame, extra dash cowl assembly, and 2 seat frames. Tub is actually pretty solid sans the normal floor spots. Selling for a friend of mine. $500 obo. Will have a matching stripped cj2a frame available (no drive train or axles) and another complete tub and stripped frame (same as above) available in a week or so for additional. Would be willing to make a “whole lot” deal.”

I found this photo on eBay. It shows a VEC CJ-2A with a wood-based hardtop. The back of the photograph suggests that the builder of the hardtop may have been manufacturing these for sale for $265. The seller of these called them Jeep Station Wagon Bodies and built at least one of them (as shown in the picture). It appears these were built in or near San Francisco. There was another manufacturer who built similar tops out of Cleveland, Ohio, and advertised them as Station Wagon Bodies.

“1946 CJ 2A. Has a Chevy 235 bolted to a T90 trans and Dana 20 transfer case. Has a Dana 30 front axle with disk breaks and an AMC 20 factory posi rear end. Needs some work still. Frame repaired in front and plated. Text or call me for more info, has back fees will be paying before sale.”

The VEC is rough, though seller indicates there is a second body. The GPW lacks a body. Price includes many parts.
“Inherited projects. 46 has a title. They both were running but have been sitting for 20 years. I have body for 46 in garage. Lots and LOTS of parts including 2 additional engines, axels, rear ends, wheels, radiators… literally half a garage full of stuff that i believe goes to one or the other. Price is for everything but you must pick up.”
