It has a tilt front end. No drive train (and not rear end?).

“44 willys jeep needs total restoration about 90 % complete the motor and Trans are rebuilt have extra parts 2500 obo call with questions”
Just a few updates tonight. We’d changed plans slightly when we left Klamath Falls on Monday. We were supposed to go to Renton, but Ann was suffering from some brain fluid issues again (pressure, head ache, nausea), so we hightailed it straight to Pasco. I guess this trip was just a little too long for her. Once we got her home and she could lay down, she felt a little better.
On Wednesday, she still wasn’t feeling great, so I brought Patterson up to Renton by myself. Yesterday, I had the time to do some work. Unfortunately, I discovered something a little disheartening. More on that later ….
I began the morning with a simple task: remove the column shifter handle and replace it with Rusty’s. The lever at the top is Rusty’s (it should be chrome rather than black, but that will have to wait). On the bottom is Patterson’s broken one. Patterson’s may be repairable, but it will take some time.
For comparison, here’s a CJ-2A shifter (this site shows how to assemble a CJ-2A column shift mechanism). It’s got a little more primitive looking end:
One of the first things I had to figure out was how to mount the anti-rattle spring.
For comparison, here is a CJ-2A spring drawing:
If you are near Columbus, Indiana, this weekend, make sure to drop by the Midwest Willys Reunion. There’s a lot happening, including Alaska Or Rust tables with parts for sale, a raffle and at least one carb demonstration by Mr. Old Jeep Carbs himself, Richard Pacholski.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
This was listed a couple months ago. Now back on eBay. I’d get it, but outside my budget at a starting price of $80. At that price, I can build my own in Photoshop and print it.
This married couple has quite the age difference: 61 years to be exact! The 2A is a column shift.
“This is an original press photo. Mrs. Mattie Lyons Large Sprouse, 79 and her 18 year old husband are ready for their 100 mile jeep trip to a Huntington amusement park tomorrow. (04/19/2017) Runs, is a bit rough.
“This truck is originally from Nebraska. It has a 3-speed transmission with the hurricane 6 cylinder that smokes pretty bad when it warms up. It runs good and seems to stay cool.I have run it for 20 plus mins at a time. It has a electric fuel pump. It was a farm truck most of it’s life. It has plenty of dents and dings. The paint job is very amateur. It looks like it was applied with a roller and paintbrush and a Wagner power sprayer. It has Bondo that is unfinished. More in some places then needed and less in other places were needed. Not to bad from ten feet. The Bed Floor was replaced with a sheet of metal. The tires are dry rotted. It also has a hard ball size Bondo spots in each cab corner. And had one patch put in the driver’s floor.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5600.
The body will need some work. The Koenig hardtop looks great.

Listed as a 1952, this jeep has a fiberglass CJ-5 body and top. What it lacks in pedigree, it makes up for in new parts.

“Jeep runs, drives and stops. New master cylinder and three wheel cylinders. Three on the tree shifter (kind of rare, came on the first production models). Original engine and drivetrain. “Up for sale is, what I believe is a 1956, Willys Jeep CJ5. The serial number under the hood reads 57548-14914. I am selling this for my uncle so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the vehicle. I do know you will not be able to drive it home, however it does run and you can test drive it before buying it. It has a Buick V8 with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a B&M ratchet shifter. Has 36″ super swamper tires which are pretty dry rotted but all hold air. It has Warn manual locking front hubs with a Dana 30 front end and Dana 44 rear end. It has a homemade canopy top which can be easily removed. frame is in good shape and body is in decent shape with a few dings and dents and some surface rust. This jeep needs a restoration, but it is a running and, we’ll say moving, project.”
UPDATE: **SOLD* Was $8000.
