There will be limited posts on Friday, Saturday and Sunday for sure and maybe Monday. We are camping as part of a wedding in the hills of Eastern Oregon near this location and my mobile broadband wireless hotspot isn’t working well at all. Even my phone calls aren’t working well. At least it is beautiful up here … except for the rain.
This Jeep Equipment book looks like it was from the early 1960s, given the photo of the CJ-5 with the fake battery box lid. .
Chris will be leaving Minnesota on Friday June 16th bound for Utah, before heading north to visit his brother Todd in Idaho. If anyone needs any parts or jeeps transported, let him know via nscustoms@hotmail.com or through his vintage jeep parts Facebook group. I’ll be meeting up with Chris Monday at noon in Sandpoint to pick up some parts.
Joe in Mesa forwarded this article posted at Core77, an industrial design website, about crated jeeps. Not a perfect article regarding jeeps, but it does have good photos and a video, one of which I’ve posted below. The Core77 site is an interesting one to explore.

“Runs good. Extras included: hitch, plow, etc.”

Drives great on road 75 mph. 15 inch BFG tires with spare. Lights and blinkers all work. Basic hydraulic brakes, new. Has half doors (brush guards) very rare. Asking $5500.00.”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
Craig spotted this one. Could be a good project.
“1950 Willys Jeep Pickup Truck. Has xx,xxx miles on the body. Engine has been swapped to more reliable Ford 302. Currently runs, drives, and stops. Body was recently resanded and prepped for Black Epoxy Primer. Bed has been done in “Rhino Liner” type material. Lift Kit. New gas tank. Brand new mud/snow tires. 4wd works, just need the driveshaft hooked up. Locking hubs upgraded to Warn Premium Hubs. I did not do the engine swap. Bed is not original (rhino liner type), part of a kit. Great project for somebody. Email me for videos and more specific pictures. I have title. $3,500 obo, not looking for trades, low ballers, or tire kickers.”
UPDATE: **Sold** Was $8000.
(08/21/2015) Not a great paint job, but it appears solid otherwise.
“1958 Willys Jeep Truck – Clean title
The drive train has been maintained as a daily driver for the past 3 years. It is licensed and inspected.
This has NOT been re-powered. It is all original and easy to get parts for.”
A few non-stock items on this. No obvious rust.
“For sale is our 1950 Willys Pickup. It’s 4wd, with the original drivetrain, including the hurricane 4 cylinder, T90 3 speed, and Dana 18 transfer case. The truck is mechanically in good shape. I can leave it sitting in our storage unit for 2 months and it will start right up. We have a bunch of receipts from the previous owner that add up to about $2500 just in parts, and we recently replaced the tires. The body has some minor surface rust on the underside, but no large holes. This truck is definitely not a show truck, but would be a great around town cruiser (it doesn’t really get much past 45 unless you’re going down hill). Price is negotiable, and delivery can be discussed (we typically trailer it if we’re going a long distance or to a car show). Feel free to contact me with any questions, and I do have videos of it running and driving.”
No pics provided. But there may be some interesting parts here.

“1948 jeep willys, runs and drives beautifully, 4X4 works perfectly. Has had tons of work done, just needs someone to finish it off (or leave the great old patina and enjoy it). Comes with 6 stock wheels that need new tires mounted on.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
(05/10/2017) Listed as a ’46 in good condition, this has no engine. It does have a PTO with a rear gear box. I have to think that the exhaust pipe is just resting next to the passenger seat and not installed that way!
“1-money. No part out 46’Willys Jeep Overland CJ2A

Has complete rear PTO with shaft
Dana/Spicer transfer case
Windhield solid

Seller dropped this ’48 body onto a Suzuki Samurai. The battery must be in the box behind the front bumper.
“I have a 1948 willys body stretched to fit on a 88 Suzuki samurai. 4 cyl 5 speed 4×4 with 143,000 miles. Was lifted about 5 inches. Brand new wheels and tires and paint, it is a rough texture bed liner paint. It needs some work here and there to be finished right but can drive. I put over 4K miles on it last year”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(04/07/2017) Seller must sell. Needs batteries and might need some engine work.
“All original with only 28,000 miles. Has new springs, brakes, drums, wheel cylinders, clutch, regulator, plugs and wires, rebuilt carb. Was overhauled last year with hardened valve seats. Rear cam bearing should be installed as it has low oil pressure and started knocking. Does need new batteries. I have the original top but not the bows. Need to sell so offers are considered.”
Too bad the photo wasn’t farther to the right. Looks like there’s more jeeps.

Ink Pen is a little rough.
“Pen & Pencil Set from WILLYS MOTORS INC. The Ink Pen needs a spring and has a lot of the writing and art rubbed off. The Pencil works perfectly and has most of the art and lettering. This set comes in the original plastic case with the Guarantee and instructions from Shaffer’s.”
Blaine shared these two jeep-related promotional items that came with some GI-Joe action figures. He’s currently selling these on eBay.

I have three original painted hair G.I. Joe action figures that I played with about 5 times with care. These have the original boxes which are excellent condition. One box had been taped shut at the ends. The store price stickers were torn off when new as they were gifts to me. My parents didn’t want me to know how much a present cost. The black haired Joe is 1968 and has a patent number on the rear. The other two should be 1967 and say “Patent Pending”. The black haired Joe has a few cracks in the limbs from age. An older one has a small crack in the small of his back on the lower torso. Two of the Joes have dog tags and one is bent a little. Also included is a foot locker which has had the sticker removed and my name written in. Also included are various accessories. Everything is in like new and very good condition. Continue reading
UPDATE: Price dropped to $12,500.
(04/30/2017) Looks in good condition.

Great Classic,Fun 4×4! very little off road use!”
Appears in good shape with a few updates. The grille is from an early 2A.
“1948 jeep willies 4×4 4cyl /3 speed original motor tranny runs and drives no issues at all . Asking 6500$. Obo have clean FL title.’
Appears worth a look.
“Up for sale is our 1950 Willys CJ-3A, it has been sitting for a while and going to need some TLC. Was running when it was parked a few years ago.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4750.
Seller has a variety of jeeps, as seen in the backgrounds of the photos.
“I am selling my 51 Willys Jeepster convertible. This car is in pretty good condition for 66 years old! I have started to restore it, however I am unable to finish it. Car runs and drives. Currently licensed( antique)and insured. Body is good, what little rust there was has been cut out and repaired with steel patch panels. Body is straight enough to be painted black!
Frame and undercarriage is good and solid.
New stuff includes: top(side curtains are included although not new),exhaust, tires, hubcaps, shocks, upholstery.
To be a perfect showpiece, car needs: paint, carpet, bumpers re-chromed and some other minor stuff.
Engine runs ok, I planned to rebuild it someday. Starts and runs good . Three speed transmission with overdrive, works good. Will need a clutch someday. I planned to replace the clutch when I rebuilt the motor.
Car comes with a spare 161, 6 cylinder motor, spare frame and some other misc. parts
This car is pretty solid, you could get in it and drive as-is or spend a few bucks and have a 12 to 15 thousand dollar classic.”
