“Up for sale is a complete set (4 plus your spare) of vintage steel tire rims. Size is approximately 9×16. Standard flat fender jeep brake drums are 9 inch drums with a bolt pattern of 5 X 5.5”. These rims will fit any jeep made from 1941-1960’s. These came off a 1948 CJ2A I restored a few years back. I went back to factory size on that jeep so I had these left over… All 5 rims are in solid condition and will hold air no problems. They have typically type surface rust you would expect to find on a vintage steel rim but they are straight and again, will take new tires with no issues. I sprayed on a coat of black paint a few years ago just for added protection. I’m guessing new owner will blast them down metal and start fresh so I haven’t put any time into them other than a good pressure washing. Rims have been stored inside my shop so they have been out of the weather since I’ve had them. Price is $250.00 bucks firm ($50 each) and not looking to trade. Cash is king. Make note I’m happy to meet up in Oregon city by the high school so you don’t have to make the long drive out to my shop. PM me for any questions or if you want to set up a time to meet. UPDATE: Blaine confirms this was Dan’s car previously.  It did not reach the reserve, with bids maxing out at $43,000.

Blaine spotted this 1962 Willys convertible Interlagos, which sits as $23,000 with 3 hours left in the Bring-A-Trailer auction.

Over the past couple of days I’ve turn my attention to the disaster that is the ‘jeep’ office. My library of non jeep books and jeep books and jeep toys and other jeep stuff has remained mostly stored for the past two years in this tiny office that’s part of the shop. This is one room that has undergone almost no remodeling … and it shows.

I’ve made some progress (just putting up the books and binders in bookcases has made a difference. One of the side benefits of doing this is finding stuff that I have yet to post, such as the pics and Boyertown Economy Delivery brochure below …

One of the jeep photos appears to have a plate dated 1958, so that’s how I am dating this package.

This photo of Norman’s Amoco gas station and garage in Akron, Ohio, includes three CJ-2As with modified bumpers. However, note the “Norman’s” sign. I think that is a neon sign and I’m wondering if that jeep lit up at night. If so, that would a pretty awesome sign!

Mark shared this ad. Over all, this looks solid. It likely have a replacement body, as it lacks the faux battery box lid. It does have reverse front springs, so the frame may be original. This also has the King Seely 0-10 early speedometer, which only came with CJ-5s. This does lack the PTO bar in the rear. I think to secure the windshield it is using the Advance Adapter latch kit.

“1946 Bantam T3C Jeep trailer. Has the title, working 4 pin lights, new NDT tires on 16″ rims. Very original, recently repainted, new reproduction data tag. Landing leg was extended to make it lean backwards-so water drains out instead of pooling at front. Could easily be cut off if you’re a purist for original. This is a classic jeep trailer, great for utility. Floor measure 3’x6′, top flares out to 4’x6′. Perfect for hauling gravel, furniture, etc, without owning a truck (I pull one like this behind my hatchback all the time). Tows behind a car or jeep just fine at highway speeds with 1/2 ton+ hauling capacity. Ground clearance makes it perfect to camp or haul things into remote areas. Still works hard at 75+ years old, and just as easily looks great in a parade behind a jeep! If you want a quick kit from a box store, go ahead and do so. If you want an awesome vintage piece of American steel, this is what you’re looking for.”
