“This is an exceptionally well preserved 1950 Jeepster. Original everything, but runs well and starts easily. If you are looking for a classic you can have fun with now, or if you want to restore it to a “like new” condition, this is the Jeepster for you. Comes with the original radio and heater. Floor matts appear to be original.
I can’t tell if the paint is original, but it does appear that the original color was red (Firewall is red) . The cowl is black, and looks great, but does not seem to be original. Top and side curtains are usable, but need to be replaces. The body is very solid. I can’t find evidence of repair, bond-o, rust issues, etc.
I don’t know a lot about the car’s history. It most recently had a Kansas title, and I was told it spent many years in use as a parade car.

This here is a 1947 Willys CJ2A that was converted to a V8 via a fresh Chevrolet 265 small block. We performed a complete tune up and rebuild the very desired 2bbl Carb on this little guy. This vehicle does runs drives and idles very nicely. The only thing that this guy needs is a fresh set of tires and its ready to rip through mud or any other terrain. Last week when we were in Renton, we tested Patterson’s headlights and discovered the foot-based dimmer switch wasn’t always working correctly. After a little research, I discovered the CJ-3A page had a useful thread on the topic, but naturally the switch demonstrated wasn’t exactly like the DJ-3A switch. The one shown on the CJ-3A page had a square end, while the DJ (and I’m assuming others of the same vintage?) have a rounded end. In fact, It isn’t clear to me which models use which dimmer switches?

So, here’s a look at Patterson’s switch. The first obvious difference is that the housing doesn’t have tabs. Instead, it has crimps and, let me tell you, those crimps wouldn’t bend easily outward.
Using a small screwdriver, I eventually got the crimps straightened. As soon as I tugged at the top part to remove it, everything kind of tumbled onto the table (oops).
Using the fording kit, a jeep could operate for more than 15 minutes while under a foot or more of water. It was published in the January 1947 issue of Popular Mechanics.
This December 1943 article from Popular Mechanics highlighted an early attempt at a water proof jeep. In this case it was accompanied by a waterproof trailer.

2. These “heavy duty” Selectro units, which came out in the early 70s, could use some cleaning on the outside.

This sits on a CJ-7 frame. Looks like they did a good job adapting the body to the frame.

Truck is solid with little to no rust but it looks like some body work has occurred.
Floor boards and structural are solid.
Has new seats.
New brake master cylinder.
New pedal assembly.
Has F134 engine.
Hood is cut out to accommodate the carb.
Has Weber sidedraft on it to fix the carb problem but it doesn’t run.
Engine has 90-120psi compression.
It will run with some tuning and diagnostic work.
