Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “Here is a classy Jeep from the past. This Jeep is in good condition for its age. Pretty much a “barn find”, and was on a family farm from 1960-2014. Original 6v system, new battery, plugs wires, and rebuilt starter. Good compression on the cylinders, Turns, over fine, one problem is the distributor has rusted to the block and timing is off. Once the distributor is free the timing can be set correctly. The rebuilds and new items I will mention were done a year prior to my acquisition in 2015 by the previous owner. Some of the items that he did are as follows: New Battery tray; new spare tire, rim and bracket to the frame pads; and new shift lever boots. Brakes have been rebuilt with master cylinder and new brake lines(they definitely need to be bled); new steel gas tank; new side mirror; new front floor plan, new front seat frames and vinyl seat cushions; new steering gear and shaft; new non-directional military tires and tubes; rebuilt generator; re-cored radiator; replacement windshield glass and frame; exhaust system approximately five years old;
New handbrake cable; new choke and throttle cable; new inner windshield rubber & windshields to cowl rubber.
New and original extra parts include: 6v distributor; L&S PTO C-10002; 640603 Drum pulley unit; 6v Harrison heater H-441-48; Pierce governor with mounting brackets; original grill screen; original wheel drum puller from Willys repair shop; original single-hand windshield wiper (needs rubber) All gauges and lights work. Has original oil bath breather, tool box has no rust.”

“48′ Willys Jeep for sale. Bought it about five years ago, thought I might want to do a restoration, but don’t really have the time. Started and ran all over town for one summer, has set inside my garage for the last four years. Clear Colorado title. I charged the battery up to try and start, but needs some fuel system work. Comes with two newly upholstered seats, two old seats, spare tire, box of extra parts, and a set of new shocks (two already on the front, and two for the rear end that have not been put on yet). pretty clean little Willies Jeep.”

This has a PTO and a ventilating windshield. It has the KS 0-9 speedo (I have an NOS replacement). One-family owned.

The truck has a dump bed manufactured by Converto.
“Very Rare 1948 Willys Dump Truck all original frame-off restoration. This truck was originally sold as a cab & chasis and sent to Converto Mfg Co to install the dump bed. The dump is operated by a manual hydraulic pump located in the cab. The truck has the stock original 4 cyl motor and manual three speed on the column transmission.

“I bought this Jeep in Vegas about 6 months ago and drove it all the way back up to Park City going 65mph up I-15 (She has the original AMC 232 cu in, straight 6 engine) I used this Jeep a few days a week on a postal route in Midway until I recently quit. No longer need it.
Runs great, drives great. Daily driver. No issues. Everything works except the windshield wipers and horn. Also does not have a heater and is not 4 wheel drive. (I have a bin with old parts and an old heater that I will include with the sale)

“I have a 1972 jeep commando I’m looking to sell or trade. It’s a straight six with a three speed. The jeep doesn’t need much more done to be road worthy, mostly a tune up. The brakes and lines are all new. New gas tank. The rockers have some putty. Frame has been wire brushed and painted with chassis saver. The repaint someone did awhile ago isn’t all that great. Floors are still pretty solid. I have a 1973 parts commando with title that will go with at the asking price. That has a 304v8 but it’s locked up. Has the beefier transmissions. Asking $4000 for everything listed.
May consider trades for ford model a or Willys parts.”
