“I have a few Jeep parts from my collection that I’ve decided to sell. I’d keep them, but I don’t have enough space to store everything and I need cash to finish my shop. I’ll do my best to keep the list current, and I may add more as well. Take your pick:
Original Early CJ2A Windsheild: $300 – in good shape with inner frame. Inner frame is rusted out in a few spots but the outer frame is solid.
Reproduction Tailgate (no stamping): $100 – almost like new, paint is faded
Early CJ2A Body & Front Clip – 1946: $400 – floor pans are gone, covered with flat plate. Underside in general is rough. Has a few holes cut in it, needs a good restoration. Hood and grill are fairly straight, fenders need some repairs around the supports.
Dana 27 & 41 axles: $300 a pair

This truck has been shortened and had it’s top lopped off. And, it’s still a project.
“Selling our project, bought this 1953 Willy’s Jeep truck last year intented to paint it and drive it daily. But we have to many projects. It is on a early Willy’s Jeep frame. The guy we bought it from cut the bed down and made it a convertible. Every nut and bolt is new on this. No rust anywhere. Has a 302 out of a 1970 mustang needs a tune up. The wintch works. “This is a project jeep, but it runs and drives so you can have fun with it while you work on it.
Needs rust repair, paint, transmission rebuilt, and everything else would enjoy attention. That said, it starts right up and drives fun. Has the original running gear (L134 flathead “go-devil” engine). Although generator has been swapped to an alternator. (12v system).
4wd works nice.
Comes with rare aluminum arctic top, with aluminum doors and accompanying windshield.”

UPDATE: It appears this endeavor didn’t work out.
Merlin reported on a NEW CJ-5 that will go into production (approx 5,000 jeeps per year) soon. One question that many folks have asked is how the new jeep can meet the current safety specs for new cars. According to Merlin, the short answer is it can’t, but it doesn’t have to meet them. In 2014 the feds passed regulations that allow low production auto manufacturers to only have to meet the specs for 1967.

Universal Motors Corp (makers of the Allied Jeep L head blocks) has the new Mopar licensed Cj5 on display in booth 32326 at Sema. These sport the current Jeep engine, and there will be a diesel option as well. Bodies and parts will be manufactured by UMC, not bought from current parts and panel manufacturers other than Jeep.
