(09/24/2017) This one’s a bit funky. Has a “cage” over the roll bar.

“I have a former fire dept jeep with clear title. Very good condition. Odometer shows only 1900 miles, which could be true due to history but title does say discrepancy. Previous owner did some engine work like water pump and other things. He messed up timing, and I haven’t had time to really work on it. It will start, but runs rough. Wife is bugging me to get out of garage, and I don’t have time to work on it. Very rare!
Previous owner lifted 2″ by changing springs and put these wheels on it. I have original wheels with tires also.”

Doesn’t run and has been sitting for 3 decades.

“This jeep has been in a storage shed for over 30 years, I have not had it running. It has a pretty solid body and has most of the original military features in tact. i.e. 24 volt electrical, headlight guards, bows, etc.. I do have a clear title which indicates the 1951 Willys status but does not reflect the same serial number?

There is a rust hole in the right rear corner and the passenger side floor board looks week, other wise pretty solid. The gas tank has been replaced by a civilian tank with smaller filler, not sure why. It does not turn over at this point, but I have not tried very hard.”

“This 1945 Army Jeep with Willys trailer was meticulously restored by my uncle Erv.

From what I remember, he did a ground up restoration in the 1990’s and paid attention to detail. I do know he added and electric fuel pump a few years ago.

Erv was a mechanic in the army in the late 1950’s and always love military vehicles, this jeep was his pride and joy. I don’t think he ever missed a Memorial Day & Fourth of July day parade with it.

“100% drivable CJ2A Willy’s Overland Jeep, first model civilian Jeep produced after WW2, 70 years old now! can’t say it’s not a project because it could use a few things, although it’s pretty cool the way it is. Been kept very original including new wiring with the 6 volt system and has the flat head four motor. Came out of the state of Wyoming some years ago and is pretty solid with much patina and patching, no top, windshield folds flat, good tires on newly painted rims. I️ took this in as a partial trade, drove it home 40 miles, runs and drives ok but steering box could use some work, it’s not perfect and price accordingly, $500 below Hagerty fair condition value. “Up for sale 1975 Jeep CJ5. Powered by the bullet proof inline six cylinder engine. Three speed manual transmission, 4×4. This Jeep is a true survivor!! Very little is non factory as far as I can tell. Except for the kick a** racing seat… And your gonna need it cause when you hit 3rd gear look out 😉

As far as rust, fenders are perfect, except a little 1x1in hole on right side, hood perfect frame perfect. Now the body, this is (I may be the first man to say this about a cj) but this body is 97% rust free. Only spot I can see needs attention is right lower cowel.

Now your getting a titled (in my name, currently registered) 1974 Jeep; that starts, stops, steers brakes, daily driver Jeep that is almost, maybe the least rusty, 1975 original cj left, for $2700 obo!!! If you are looking for a winter project, you found it!!!”
