Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Last driven in 2010 before issues with the steering. Repairs include a rebuilt engine, new break drums in the rear, new brake shoes all around, new wheel cylenders all around, steering rebuild kit, and a small amount of body work. All origional parts included, as well as a service manual.”

It’s a project.
“This is a project –
The Good-
Solid cab (except for one hole – see picture) and box. Somebody tried to put a 283 chevy with an automatic in it – and failed! Included is a parts truck with a non-running F134.
Many parts are included, the transfer case that’s in the vehicle has an overdrive on it. The transfer case on the non-running engine has a pto on it. Also included is a new windshield plus new rubber for all the windows. Plus Service and owners manuals (reprints).
The Bad-
Frame has been repaired above the front axle on both sides (see pictures).
Somebody put 3.91 gears in it – I have no idea if they have been properly setup. The parts truck does have 5.38 but it is a narrow track.
The wheel well for the spare tire was cut out and welded in upside down (???)
Missing the heater- Found one, but the housing is rusted.
I have too many projects – it would be nice to see somebody restore the Jeep.”

“I have a few Jeep parts from my collection that I’ve decided to sell. I’d keep them, but I don’t have enough space to store everything and I need cash to finish my shop. I’ll do my best to keep the list current, and I may add more as well. Take your pick:
Original Early CJ2A Windsheild: $300 – in good shape with inner frame. Inner frame is rusted out in a few spots but the outer frame is solid.
Reproduction Tailgate (no stamping): $100 – almost like new, paint is faded
Early CJ2A Body & Front Clip – 1946: $400 – floor pans are gone, covered with flat plate. Underside in general is rough. Has a few holes cut in it, needs a good restoration. Hood and grill are fairly straight, fenders need some repairs around the supports.
Dana 27 & 41 axles: $300 a pair

Seller lists this as a 1952, but the indents, body, and frame suggest this is a 1946 CJ-2A.
