Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. Niel shared a scan of his 1958 Jeep calendar. He says it puts a smile on his face every time he sees it. The only other calendar I have scanned is the 1961 calendar. Anyone know when these Jeep calendars first began and when (if) they ended?

“For sale late sixties CJ5 Auburn Jeep A Trench 1968? Would make a great yard truck/ Plow Jeep,comes with dirt plow and snow plow. Starts, runs good and drives , clutch feels good , no brakes . Body’s kinda rough but frame looks pretty good . Havent had a chance to go over it well to check everything but seems to be pretty complete , missing one of the augers. PTO engages and shaft spins . Not very familiar with these units so will try my best to answer any questions. Looks complete enough to restore or get going and use as is, or would be a great parts donor for another Auburn Trencher unit. Front counter weight there ,as is the creeper gear , pto assembly, Fhead motor, overload springs ( Canfields or Koenigs ?) etc Too many Jeeps to work on this one needs a new home $2800 Feel free to call,text, or email for details , I will try my best to answer all questions. “Great project Jeep for someone. CLEAN TITLE Starts right up, runs and drives. Will need some work to be road worthy. Needs some wiring (chassis wiring) Needs brake work. (Master cylinder) One tire leaks down after a few days, will need new tube. Had some oil leaks that should be fixed before it is driven much. It’s a column shift with indents (top indent at least) so likely a VEC CJ-2A. Body is rough, though has been patched in places. You don’t often see just one part time hub. I’d check to make sure the left front axle and/or front R&P doesn’t have some issue.
“I was told by the heirs that this was a 1948 Willys Jeep, I do not have a title, so I am unsure , there is a long number on the engine, that could lend a clue. This is a 3 speed standard trans, on the column, with two shift levers on the floor, it rolls easy, and the linkage is all free to the trans and transfer case. The odometer reads 38k miles, what you see is what I have, there are no extra parts, engine is complete, radiator and all parts in engine compartment intact.
Serious only, I’m sure the parts are hard to find for this vintage , possibly a 1947 Willys Jeep, Convertible,
the frame is good, rears are complete, and has locking hub on the front left wheel , under the paint is was a medium green when new.”

The body might be MB, given the gas tank. No full floaters in the back. Probably a mix of parts.

These two were part of a collection for sale in late 2017.
1. CJ-2A $1000: I have a Willys Jeep, flat hood, flat 4 cylinder, mostly complete. NO title but can give bill of sale. $1,000 cash or May trade for something.
2.1960 CJ-3B $1500: “I have a 1960 Willys Jeep. Tall hood which means the inline 4 cylinder. Complete I believe but rough. Clear KY title. Please no calls or texts after 11pm. May trade for something but prefer cash or cash and bang.”

Everyone once in a while readers have forwarded Facebook Marketplace ads with a jeep for sale. But, for the most part I have ignored this resource. I just didn’t think there was much there. I was wrong.
There are a large number of vintage jeeps for sale that I haven’t seen listed elsewhere. I’ve listed a number of them in posts for today. However, I know not everyone has a FB account, so that doesn’t create a dilemma for some folks. I don’t have an answer of that just yet. I also don’t have a system yet for efficiently searching the Marketplace on a national basis, so I don’t know how using the Marketplace will effect my time.
To see what is possible, I plan to do research into the Marketplace platform. It would be great if I could automate some of this stuff, making less work for me and more jeeps for readers. We’ll see how it goes!

“This is a rare World War Two military jeep Willys MB. It runs and drives but for dependable driving will need more attention. The Jeep came from Page Arizona and was registered with an Arizona ID with oversight of 1951 as the year, quite common mistake made at DMV in old days.. It is 100% genuine MB Jeep from pre-1945. The body is solid without any bondo and needs to be gone through before going to the paint shop. What you see in the pics is surface rust being exposed to the weather in Page Arizona where it came from. Chassis and undercarriage are solid with just the typical rust in the channels. Inner Windshield frame has rust but outer frame is solid. Great candidate for show quality restoration . The previous owner overhauled the original flat head MB “devil” engine and installed rebuilt tranny and transfer case done by a professional vintage jeep part supplier here in Phoenix. Carter Carburetor still needs fine tuning and electrical harness replaced. Vehicle runs and drives but needs restoration to be reliable driver or showing in parades. I can send you multiple photos and answer any questions you may have if seriously interested in owning a piece of war memorabilia that will only appreciate with time .
I also have a very early production 1946 CJ2A VEJ. Might sell together to any serious buyer.”
