Danny recently finished the restoration of his jeep (MB?). It only took him two years (“that’s 2 years of hard graft,” he wrote). A recent, unusual storm, in the United Kingdom gave him a chance to snow-test it. Looks like he had fun!

My grandpa had this jeep since the early 80’s it got painted and a v8 in the late 80’s . From that point on he wouldn’t drive it or let anyone else drive it . I bought it in 06 and have maybe burned 3 tanks of fuel through it just running around town . It has not been off-road since the early 80’s . My grandpa always kept it garaged and I’ve kept that up .

Mileage: 5,047 miles since total frameup restomod
The only thing that’s original on it are its frame rails, and they have been strengthened.
The engine is now a 355 cubic inch Chevrolet V8. It has a Ford 4 Speed Toploader Transmission mated to T18 Transfer Case. It also has a Warn Overdrive. The differentials are Spicer and have Powerlock in both front and rear with 4:88 gear ratio.
The steering is Saginaw power, and it’s mated to a tilt and telescopic GM column.
