Joe saw yesterday’s photo from Seattle, which made him think of a similar period photograph. It hangs on the wall inside the offices at the Northeast Classic Car Museum in Norwich, New York, showing a portion of Broad Street in Norwich. (Broad Street is the main street).
Chad shared this nice looking wagon.
https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1948-willys-jeepster-3/
“This 1949 Willys station wagon is a 2-wheel drive example powered by a 134ci L-head inline-four mated to a 3-speed manual transmission with overdrive. The truck was reportedly refurbished by its previous owner with mechanical overhauls, a repaint inside and out, new upholstery, and more. It was acquired four years ago by the seller, who has since stored it indoors as part of a large collection and has driven it about 300 miles. An oil change and chassis lubrication were performed in 2017. This Willys is offered with a clean California title in the seller’s name.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
“A must see! This is a will conditioned car. Needs a little TLC but runs well!”
Rat rod feel to it.

“I’m selling my jeepster to finance my next project. It has a 283 and a 350 trans. Mustang 2 front, 4 link rear with air bags on an S10 Blazer rear axle. 4 wheel disc brakes. It’s loud and ugly but lots of fun. Kansas antique title. If you don’t like the price make an offer.”
Why the large holes in the windshield?

“I have a 1947 CJ2A. It runs. It’s all original except fir what the fire department did to it. It needs breaks and some wires g gone through and of course tired. If gate to get rid of it, but moving out of the country. Transmission works and also has the PTO. It’s a very solid Willy’s and would love to see it go to someone that can appreciate it. All I need to do is put some gas in it and I’ll start right up. If you don’t like the price please make me a reasonable offere. O have the name of the fire department that used it fir years carrying firefighters through the mountains to start controlled burns and in the back seat carried a large water tank just in case things got out of hand.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay
Seller lists this as a 1956, but it doesn’t look like a narrow track to me. And, I technically, the first year for the FC-150s was 1957.

“Soft top, 2 Doors. And framework. Fit early flat Fender Jeeps Willy’s”
Ted spotted this story. Daniel Strohl at Hemmings shared this vintage 1950s photo that features a wagon, among many other vehicles. My two Seattle experts (my aunt and her boyfriend who have 150 years of combined Seattle living experience) think it is either University Village or Holman Road Center. My aunt also informed me that she and I are related to “Ray”, the man who started Ray’s Thriftway, a grocery chain in the Northwest (grandma’s aunt’s sisters’ mother … or something like that). I wonder if I can get a family discount?

“The body is a 1950 Willy’s CJ3A and the frame and drive train is a 1961 Willy’s CJ3B. It has the inline 4 cylinder with a manual 3 speed transmission. 4×4 works fine. Motor starts up good but could probably use a little carb work. I have only drove back and forth to the store and haven’t had any issues. Frame has been refinished and is in great shape. The tub could use some love but not to bad. Tires are new and are 31’s”
Not sure how much value is here.
