UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $24,090
(10/19/2018) Lots of custom work here.
“This is a CUSTOM Build Jeep that has been “Road Tested” for 3000 miles since is build approximately 6 years ago.
Every detail is done to perfection. From the custom chassis on up. Some build features include, GM 350 crate motor with performer intake manifold, MSD ignition, and chrome header into a custom stainless steel exhaust. The axles are Dana 44’s with Warren front hubs, extended leaf srpings, and sway bars front and rear with disconnects for greater articulation as well as Bilstein shocks. The transmission is a Borg Warner T18 top loader – 4 Speed with a Dana twin stick transfer case. All lines and most of the hardware are stainless steel. The vehicle has power sterring, vented front disc brakes and sits nicely on Toyo 33x1350R15 Open Country tires mounted on M/T aluminum rims. Picture don’t do this Jeep justice, a close up examination speasks for itself.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(12/12/2017) “Sell or partial trade. Killer looking old willys jeep, sitting on a dodge frame and running gears. 39 inch tires on 15×10 aluminum wheels. Set up for a big block dodge, motor is not in jeep, but i have everything to make it run. Have a 1970 model 383 out of a dodge truck. Has auto trans. Comes with headers and side exit exhaust. Jeep is in good shape for the year model. Might trade on other project cars and trucks.”

This has lots of updates. With all due respect to the builder, a “top notch” 3B ought to have, at the minimum, windshield wipers, more appropriate bumpers and no numbers on the side of the hood.

“This is as close to a new 1954 Jeep as you’ll ever get. Yes, I’m asking top price, but this is a top notch machine. I’ve built dozens of specialty vehicles, and I assure you this is built to the highest standards. I built it with simplicity and strength. It has fewer than 100 miles on it since the restoration, and has been trail and road tested. Includes:
• Small block Chevy 283
• Saturn overdrive
• Front and rear lockers, with lock out hubs on front
• 4-wheel disk brakes
• Upgraded steering
• Fully rebuilt drive train
• Boxed frame
• 9500 pound waterproof wench with remote
• New body, fenders, hood, seats, fuel tank, and summer canopy
• New wheels and tires
• Big aluminum radiator and high-flow Edlebrock water pump allows it to run cool even on the trail in the heat
I may also sell a Bantam trailer of the same vintage with the Jeep. The trailer is partly restored – all body work, cleaning, and painting is done. It needs new leaf springs, reassembled, and wired. $1500 as is, or $1000 is you also buy the Jeep.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $19,500.
This has VT plates, but has a Fort Myers map. I suspect the seller may live part time in Vermont and part time in Florida.

This May 23, 1943, American Car Company Ad was published in the Evening Star, out of Washington, D. C.. Given Bantam lost the production contract in 1941, it seems an unusual ad, especially many folks probably hadn’t heard of nor seen a Bantam vehicle.
UPDATE: Here’s another postcard of Salty Johns on eBay.
This postcard shows Salty Johns, his dog Junior, and his “Flashy” jeep. Salty’s real name was Vernon Johns. He worked as the Audubon Society Wildlife Warden for Lydia Ann Island. He also brought some color to the Port Aransas, Texas, beaches. That sure is an unusual bumper setup.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3000.
Will this attract or repel the walking dead?
“New radiator, hoses, water pump, belts, fuel pump and a lot of other stuff. Just needs a shift seal. Runs great. Windshield is installed now.”
This has a variety of mods. The entrances have been modified quite a bit. It’s oddly cool in it’s own way.

“I have had this Jeep for 32 yrs with my dad (have had it 5 yrs since his passing). It has been a very good hunting vehicle for us, but have decided to let someone else enjoy it. Everything works on it and is mostly original or as gotten. Please see itemized list below:
Engine: 1953 134 F-head (replaced in 1986 from original Flathead)
Elect.: 12V (switched at engine change-out from 6V system)
Original Running gear: (Transmission, rear-ends, and transfer case (2 stick)
Extras: Tow bar, 2000 lb winch (used once to pull out buck), Warn locking hubs, good tires and tread, runs and drives strong, solid 6-point ROPS (roll over protection system) with front and middle being added professionally in 2017, all required lights work (head, tail and brake), all 7 off-road lights work (back up flood, 2 floods on front bumper, 2 KC Daylighters on rear roll bar and 2 36W/360 lumen Cree lights on front roll bar, CB antenna with all wiring in place (will change out existing fire radio with CB if wanted, the towing light bar with standard 7-way plug and a Mico hydraulic e-brake.
This Jeep is ready to be used with no fixing on your part. I used it all 2018 deer season with no issues. If you are looking for a hunting rig that is reliable and ready to go and at a fair price, this is it.
I will entertain only serious offers, and ignore all low-ballers. I am not here to give it away, but will respect a fair offer, just the same.
Please email me with any questions or interest.”

“1975 POSTAL JEEP 383 BLOWER MOTOR RUN GREAT REAL KOOL RIDE CALL ONLY”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
I assume the wires sticking out of the battery box was a temporary thing related to getting the jeep going. It looks solid.
“1954 Willys M38A1, original 24v, 4 cylinder. Military tires, roof believed to be original and in good condition (no rips/tears). Fording kit, heater, military 24v charging port installed. OEM Brass Fire Ext. All canvas including front radiator cover for winter. Some of the door/ side curtain fastener stays have started to pull through.
Inherited this from my father who owned it 10-12 years, I was probably the last person to drive it 2009-2010. Started working on getting it running again, cleaned fuel system, new carb, new starter. Start and runs, with a miss, not sure why. Need to get this moved to finish the garage it’s in.”
