Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. I have 1 complete cj2a body, 2 sets of fenders, 2 hoods, 2 grills, 1 tailgate, 1 windshield frame and one front cowl/firewall sand blasted. Also 2 new rear fender sections. Custom built 2×3 frame with 5.7 hemi, 45ref trans and ram 1500 rear axle. New tires and wheels. I have a title and vin tag. 2005 hemi pcm and wiring harness. This is an awesome project that I just don’t have time for. I have a lot of money and time invested, my loss is your gain. $3000 firm!”

“2 Willys Jeeps for sale. This is a project that I would love to finish, but I’m moving and the cost to move them would be more than they are worth. The Jeeps are a CJ-2A and CJ 3B I believe as far as the motor transmission and transfer case go. I have a frame in good condition with title. My plan was to take parts from both of these to make one Jeep. The black one ran and drove when I got it, but the fuel pump dumped fuel all over the place. The fuel pump and starter were removed for repair and never put back on. The green one started, but would only run for a few seconds before shutting off. Both jeeps will need to be towed. I prefer to sell them together and with the frame.”

“I want to sell my 1946 Jeep Willys. Have done everything to her except paint! Too manyh items done to it to list but I just now started it after over a year of sitting and she fired right up. The Can has been replaced, in black primer and many other things. I used it for many years at my land but I sold it this spring and it is just sitting now and I have no where to use it. I knew the prior owner and he owned it almost before I was born and I’m in my 60’s.”

Mike’s 1950 CJ-V35/U was featured in a recent JP Magazine online article and will appear in print as well. He notes the article was very good overall, though there were a couple minor incorrect references.

Just in time for the big game comes this new Jeep Commercial. Thanks to several folks for sharing this.
This less than accurate restoration of an M-38 sold for $49,500 in 201. Then, just last month, it was auctioned for $67,500, though a portion (no note on how much) of the proceeds was supposed to go to a military charity (it remains unidentified).
Interestingly, Hagerty Insurance valued it at $10,500, which seems a pretty fair estimate.
