UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500.
Seller inherited it and knows little about it.
“Selling this Willys Jeep for parts / restore. It was not registered and used on site only for occasional plow. Comes with plow. Engine is rebuilt, but since this was inherited, can not say it would run without tweaking. Offered at $1500.00.”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
Seller has a variety of parts.
“I have a variety of left over items from a CJ2A restoration project. If you are into a project or want to start one, I have some good items.
Old chassis with axles, tansmission and transfer case.
Extra axles
Complete engine – Most likely needs a rebuild but it is all there.
Engine – that needs to be put back together. I have all the new parts.
Various other parts. Not all shown in the pictures.
Look at the pictures. A few items are not available as I still need them.

“1950s Willys Jeep parts.Make offer! Also totally rebuilt 1957 Willys needs body for it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was No Price.
Not sure there’s much value here. It has some rear floating hubs.
“For sale old Jeep . Parts or whole. Zeagers Auto Salvage”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $450.
This could work for someone.
“This is a rolling chassis from an early CJ2A. I believe it’s early because it has a floating rear axle which was only in MB’s, GPW’s and early CJ2A’s.
The frame is RUST FREE, but it does have a quality repair done to the left front frame horn.
It’s a nice fix, just not original.
The home made front bumper is welded on but none of the frame was damaged or cut off. It could easily be brought back to stock, if desired.
Comes complete with wheels, rear draw bar, steering and everything else shown EXCEPT the trans/transfer case.
That can be left on for an additional fee.
CALLS ONLY, and not after 8pm. Text and emails will be ignored, thanks to scammers.
Located in 10588 zip. Please look it up before calling and asking “where are you located?”.”
I don’t know how I missed this news, but Chad let me know that as of April 15th Craigslist will charge $5 per automotive listing. The listing expires after thirty days, but the seller can repost the exact ad another thirty days (into perpetuity?) for free.
Am I fan of this change? Nope. Craigslist will simply push people to other websites, most likely and primarily Facebook. And that’s a problem for me, as Facebook’s search engine absolutely sucks. It will probably also mean that vehicles that are non-running will more often appear under automotive parts, which remains free.
Having done my share of battling jeep misinformation, I can appreciate this fun look at the “hobby” published by Scott Schiller. AKA the World Famous G503 Spokesperson.
These ads in Spanish for child toys that will “help kids enjoy their childhood more” appear to be brightly colored Tri-Ang Pedal Jeeps.
Dean’s working on this Converto Trailer. It’s got hubs with a 5×4.5 bolt pattern. He’s wondering how he might find replacement hubs. Anyone have ideas on what would fit?
Here’s the trailer:
Here are the current hubs:
UPDATE: Still Available. but expensive.
(This unusual spec sheet compares the M-38A1 with the M-274 and the XM443E1. The M-38A1D image press photo is available currently on eBay.
Seller is looking for $80. It needs some work. Seller will consider an offer. Seller does not want to ship it. These pics are the best documented images I’ve found for this top. Here is the brochure: http://www.ewillys.com/2018/02/17/blue-star-hardtop-half-cab/

“This auction is for an aluminum hard top and door that came with a 1947 Willys CJ2A Jeep that I purchased. (The Jeep is not for sale.) The hard top is incomplete and has a few issues, but this might be handy for someone that has a similar hardtop.
Here’s the bad news. The rear plexiglass is cracked, there are a couple of small cracks in the corners of the aluminum roof panels. I have a drivers side door, but the mating hinge that should be on the roof portion is missing. I do not have a passenger door, but the hinge is on the passenger side of the roof portion. The door is set up to have some sort of window, but it is missing the window.
I’m hoping I’ll find someone out there who could take advantage of these parts. It doesn’t weigh much, but it’s just too big to ship. The buyer will need to pick this up just outside of Buckingham Iowa.”
UPDATE **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Starting bid is $300.
“Up for auction is a pair of NOS Dualmatic locking hubs. They are Chrome and in excellent condition. Comes with instructions and original decal, bolts, and locking clips. Unfortunately I do NOT have the parts catalog so I can NOT ID these by make and model. But I can give you dimensions: 4.375 overall diameter, 3.125 long, 10 internal spline, 3.750 bolt hole pattern center to center. The dualmatic # 80. I am selling these as is as described. Please be sure they are what you’re looking for before bidding. Please email with any questions. High bidder pays$16.50 for S&H.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** for $6100 on eBay
This is a no reserve auction. It has a fun paint job.
“Very nice Jeep Willy’s CJ2A with a strong later Jeep V6 engine with headers. Custom paint job. Transmission and transfer case were recently rebuilt. Original Steel body. New bikini top (can be hemmed for custom fit). Roll cage and bench seat. Always kept inside. Zero rust! Great body out/under and in between. Super sold example! There is a small spot on rear passenger fender that needs painted (black to match other side) but this does not affect the nice paint job at all. Otherwise I know of nothing that it needs. Good tires, brakes and clutch. Very well cared for inside and out. Keep in mind this is a 73 year old vehicle so expect some imperfections. Clear title in hand.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.
A little nitpicky item. The seller notes the tranny was rebuilt, but shows a pic of the transfercase. The drain hole appears filled.
“Jeep for sale. 1947 Willys Jeep CJ2A for sale. $8500. Runs great. Fun to drive. Original Go Devil engine. 134cc, 60 HP. This one has overdrive too. Electrical was updated to 12 volt, new alternator, new hoses, new belt, new battery, new thermostat and coolant replaced. 4 wheel drive works, overdrive works, emergency brake does not work. All the electrical works, like headlights, taillights, lighter, etc. Transmission rebuilt a few years back, looks good as you can see in the picture”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
Starting bid is $1600. Includes a plow, an extra engine, a CJ-5 chassis, and other parts.
“1965 Willys/Jeep CJ3B Meyer T5 plow setup (with title). Body and interior are rough, but mechanically sound. Good running F134 engine. Owned for 13+ years. Not road worthy, but reliable plow vehicle. Has PowerTrax lockers installed in both axles. Good base for rock-crawler project. Decent tires. Plow package includes spare parts including two working Hy-Low pumps, spare plow frame, cylinder, and original ElectorLift T5 pump. Also included is a CJ5 rolling chassis (no title) with an F134.
This motor has all new guts. Block was machined by NAPA and has .020 pistons, rods, and replacement crankshaft/bearings. Hasn’t even been broken in yet. Regret not painting the dipped block. Just surface rust though. Also included is a extra F134 engine, and a set of a front and rear axles, transmission and transfer case. Lastly, 3 totes, chucked full of various parts. Package deal sold as is. You have to come get it. LaPorte, IN near Toll Road. Prefer PayPal, cash will do. I’m getting old and the lockers make it too hard to steer without power steering. The hillbilly hardtop keeps the snow off, but I’d rather have heat and a cab… “
Seems like a good price.

Who says my wife is dramatic? lol
But, understandably, she was looking down this canyon
On Sunday morning we left for the White Rim trail in Canyonlands National Park. Driving out of Moab, we had a cloudless morning with perfect temperatures in the 60s. As we left, we drove past a jeep hoisted onto a sign for the Expedition Lodge motel in downtown Moab, something that must have been added in the last two years. It’s missing the drive train, but otherwise still has quite a few parts.
In contrast to the yellow jeep, our rental jeep was a white newer 4-door Wrangler. Karson rented it through Canyonlandsjeep, which he said provided the least expensive jeep rentals (the folks there were great). It was slightly lifted and had oversize tires. The one downside of the rental jeep was that we were not allowed to drop the tire pressure. As a result (and as you can imagine) the ride proved to be rougher than it otherwise had to be.
This December 1949 Ad published in the Saturday Evening Post is interesting in that WILLYS is printed larger than the term ‘Jeep’, the latter being regulated to a small badge near the wagon image.
