This year’s Willys Am Tegernsee convention in Bavaria will be July 13, 2019, I’m still hoping to attend this some day.
This December 29, 1950, ad in the Evening Star promoted Sligo Motors, Inc, a new Willys-Overland dealer. Note the Willys-Overland service sign in the lower left corner. I don’t think I’ve seen that one.
Someone’s put a lot of time into this militarized CJ-2A build.

(05/13/2019) Matt’s made some progress on this 3B project, but he needs to let it go. It has the L-head installed, but he does have the F-head still.
“Up for sale I have a 1955 Willys CJ3B project. This is a project that I started and have run out of time for. The chassis is finished…running, driving and stopping including a complete paint job with chassis saver, new shocks, brakes, steering components and a motor tune up. The engine is an earlier flat head (L head) engine rather than the original overhead valve (F head). Still a great running engine. I do have an original F head engine I could swap into it if you really want originality. T90 three speed transmission and D18 transfer case work perfectly. The pto system that is pictured on the frame is no longer on it.
This Jeep is at the point where it needs body and paint work. The body has been patched and strengthened but needs finish welding and grinding to be ready for paint. All of the sheet metal is currently just sitting on the frame nothing is bolted down. It is not drivable the way it sits.
I have 95% of everything for it the only things you need to get are seats, new tires, windshield gasket, hardware such as nuts and bolts and possibly a better tailgate. All of the small parts that arent pictured are in boxes in my garage and I can tell you exactly where everything is.
Body tags are intact and it is sold with a bill of sale only. No title. If you are in CT thats not a problem. If you are interested give me a call or text and I can answer any more questions you may have. I am asking $3000. I have more into the chassis than that. I may consider trades for other early flatfender Jeeps preferably ones with original paint. If the ad is still posted, it is still available. Thank you
Pictures show current state, finished frame and what it looked like before disassembly. “

Roger Martin snapped these photos yesterday at the Willys Jeep Rally at Hueston Wood State Park in Ohio. These first pics show Roger’s CJ-2A. His 1947 CJ2A was painted in 1967 and has stayed good all these years. He made the bikini top a few years ago out of a 1951 roll of canvas from the Korean War.
J.F. Evans filed a patent for holding and locking Jerry cans on October 27, 1959. The objectives were to create a simple, accessible, yet secure manner of carrying a water or gas container.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $400.
“I have a full aluminum top with doors built with .065″ gage and obviously hand built by a metal craftsman. Fits my 2A like a glove. I’ve included pictures of the top on the Jeep to show actual fit. Jeep is not for sale. I am in the Terre Haute Indiana area. I’m asking $400 but would consider a reasonable offer. I just want it to be useful to someone looking for a nice hardtop.”
This 1957 DJ-3A appears to be for sale. It’s got some modifications, but looks fairly stock.

“1963 Willys military Jeep and trailer, antique jeep parts”
Over the last couple of days I’ve been sorting through Rusty’s parts and putting it back together so its easier to ship (It sold this week). It almost looks like a real jeep again. I started with the bare frame that Ann and I cleaned up prior to the Alaska trip in 2017.
I thought it would be easiest if I reinstalled the engine and tranny and gas tank for transport.
With the powertrain installed, the body and front clip went together pretty easily. The parts have been sorted and boxed. It’s just about ready to go.
UPDATE: Travis spotted this jeep. He noted that it’s been listed as an antique, which I would imagine circumvents the Craigslist fee. I suspect we’ll see more of that. One price is $1600 and another (in the text) is $1500. Body is fiberglass.

Tom wanted to have some t-shirts made with the design below on it. He’s wondering if anyone else would like some as well?
The price is $20 per shirt plus USPS priority shipping of $7.35 (shipping is the same for one or two shirts $27.35 or $47.35 for two shirts). If you are interested, you can either comment below or email Tom at Lsi24 @ msn.com (remove the spaces around the @). He expects to have about 40 available for sale.
The t-shirts would be a white Hanes Beefy shirt that is 100% cotton with a pocket. The vintage logos are based on the 1950 ‘jeep badge’ logo seen in a few ads. He’s only making a few and doesn’t plan on selling them anywhere else. The below are mock ups, so they aren’t quite exactly what you’ll get.
Looks in good shape.
