“I have a vintage Willys Jeep top – Possibly Koenig or Meyers top, Military Style Hard Top – no name plate.
Large glass is cracked ..smaller ones are good. Shows its age a few creases in the metal.
Pretty rare top, vent on top.
I’m told it’s for a 1940s to 50’s
Serious inquires only!
I will have this willys Jeep top at the Turlock swap meet this Sunday May 5th!!”
The serial number listed (MD43849) would suggest an M-38A1, but maybe it’s a misprint and should be MB43849?

“1947 Willy’s Jeep cj2a, in-line 4 cylinder with 3 speed manual trans. Runs well when the battery is charged. It needs some work on the electronics and wiring. Have replaced many parts on the engine so runs really well. Needs work on the brakes and it leaks a little oil just because it’s so old. Brand new carb, ignition coil, etc. comes with windshield even though some pictures don’t show it. Great jeep to restore. Will need to be trailered back”

It seems a shame that these documents are released for public consumption. The price on these is quite high. It looks like the earliest tests on the theory of the Rotabuggy occurred in August of 1941, which is earlier than I would have thought.

“1941 to 1944 – Original RAF confidential and restricted file of the most bizarre World War II invention, a “flying jeep”, which became known as “Hafner Rotabbugy”, or “Hafner Gyroplane” in honour of his chief inventor Raoul Hafner (1905-1980), Austrian born British helicopter pioneer and engineer, known for his major contributions to the aerospace industry.”

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $12,500.
Tom’s selling his CJ-2A. He would consider a trade for a stock 1945 CJ-2A or some other kind of unique CJ-2A
“I have decided to list my 46 CJ2A for sale. It is a recent restoration. I have driven the jeep less than 50 miles since finishing. All body work and paint was professionally done by a custom rod shop. Body is Pasture Green as it was in 1946. New items include:
NDT Tires
Brake System
Wiring Harness (6V system)
Exhaust System
Side steps
Fuel Tank
Seat covers and cushions
This CJ2A also has a keyed coil. Started and generator have been rebuilt. All lights and gauges work. Jeep starts, runs, drives, and stops as it should. Motor was completely overhauled and is a quiet, tight motor. Transmission was worked over and shifts well. This is not a museum piece, but it is a solid rig. Price is $13,000. Clean IN title in my name. Jeep is located in Haubstadt, IN 47639. I would consider some sort of trade deal for a stock 1945 CJ2A or another CJ2A that is in original condition and has some unique features/options. Thank you for looking!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $15,000.
