“1946 CJ2 Willy’s 4×4 rebuilt whole drivetrain-2 sets rims-tow bar-tires good-runs drives good-Best Top $5000 firm”
This looks like one of the Acme or Brian Chuchua tubs. It’s a light tub, but surprisingly sturdy.
https://easttexas.craigslist.org/pts/d/mineola-cj2a-jeep-willys-fiberglass/6902004779.html
“I bought this tub and no longer have the Jeep it was going on. It is brand new with no holes. It’s for a Willy’s CJ2A but you could use it on other models. Comes with a new fiberglass hood. Absolutely NO TRADES. Serious CASH offered considered but if you know anything about these you know a new one is at least $2,000.”
Seems like a good price.

“Willys Jeep Tim and tire $100”
The Great Willys Picnic is this Sunday. It’s another event I’ve always wanted to attend, but never seem to be in the vicinity to do that! It’s supposed to be 77 degrees with a low chance of rain. Sounds like perfect weather!

I’m way behind on my document scans. I thought I’d catch up today, but between our search for a new bed (Ann’s back is giving her issues) and the fact that Ann accidentally left the plastic bbq brush (why???) in the bbq, which melted into an ugly mess when I turned on the bbq, forcing me to clean the whole thing, all meant that I didn’t have time once again for scans.
Anyhow, here’s the promised Dualmatic brochure. The brochure is directly and has some stains, so they aren’t the best scans. But, they’ll do for now.
Lots of custom work. I bet this was a California jeep at some point. There are few Cali jeeps that had been modified with that type of windshield.

“Show quality Willys CJ3A, Buick V6 with lots of Kenny Bell Parts, turbo 350 transmission. Late model CJ frame and axels. Featured in Four Wheeler magazine and the pictures show all the work done to this Jeep.
Serious Inquiries only and will not pull it out of storage to just look at.
Would consider trades for Polaris 1000 turbo or Can am Maverick or X3.”
Could be a good price.

https://quadcities.craigslist.org/cto/d/de-witt-1946-willys-jeep-cj2a/6881880051.html
“Bought from the original family. Frame off restored in 2002.
Was originally a farm jeep that pulled a baler and a spreader. Original owner was a Jeep driver in the medical corps for the army in Europe from 44 to 45…he wanted a jeep for the farm when he came back. Have original title.
Work done: Engine rebuilt, Trans rebuilt, New tires, new wheel cylinders and master cylinder, new exhaust, new gauges, new original cloth wiring, 6 volt generator, correct working vacum wipers, correct carb, new canvas top, New canvas seats, new fuel lines and sending unit, fresh paint in 02 with undercoating inside the body and on all the under-surfaces. No rust out. Original metal. Bow pockets were not reinstalled by the P/O. Starts runs drives amazing. Tight steering, new shocks.
Needs very little but it is going to need seals at some point. They are getting a bit tired.”
The outside of the body seems in good shape.
https://reno.craigslist.org/pts/d/portola-willys-m170-front-line-ambulance/6901893627.html
“Willy’s M170 was used during Korean War as a front line ambulance, the military predecessor to the civilian CJ6. The condition is very restorable or could be used as parts. It has a Nevada title and would probably be best to have a new home in Nevada. The stock running gear is all there with the addition of an overdrive. Comes with boxes of parts. I got it off of an estate and the heirs knew none of the particulars of the vehicle. Was stored in a garage. I do not know if it runs. Previous owner was converting to 12 volt. Comes with some parts to convert back to original 24 volt. Price is OBO.”
Looks in good shape. It has updates, including what looks to be a saginaw box and an M-38 (probably replacement, grille.

“1946 Willys CJ-2a This is the FIRST non-military model. CJ-2a Complete frame on restoration on this vehicle. If you follow these Willy’s Jeeps closely, you understand that its very rare you see these early post-war jeeps pop up for sale. But, it’s even rare+ to see them restored to this condition. This 1946 Willy’s Jeep CJ-2a has an amazing color combination and 700 miles on it since its full restoration.
The CJ-2a was the first Willy’s Jeep used for non-war or peace duty (CJ = Civilian Jeep), but there is no denying the military forces influences on this early example. You cannot help but see the same basic style that brought victory in World War II. An icon like this does not need to be flashy, but the fresh coat of a deep green paint really adds a touch that is typically lost on these jeeps.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8500.
Has a V6.
“I am selling my 1942 Willy’s GPW Jeep. It fought in WWll and made it back in the 60s. I have spent the last few years restoring this Jeep and everything has been replaced or repaired. The Jeep tub is all original metal with f-stamps everywhere. The engine is not original and has been replaced with a rebuild 231 V-6 3.8. New painless wiring harness and new brakes. The 3-speed transmission and transfer case are still original but we added a Warn granny gear in case you want to drive on the highway.
The Jeep has lots of original WWll parts that come with it. The Jeep runs, drives, stops and shifts as it should. The Jeep has the original gas tank under the seat but it is not hooked up. It will also need shocks and some minor wrenching to bolt on a few cosmetic parts that still need to be installed. I have a clean California title in my name and it is on Non Op status with no fees due to DMV. The price is $8500 so please no low ball offers.”
Might have some value.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $10,000.
(05/19/2019) Passenger side floor likely patched. Drains holes have been filled.
“NO TRADES-DONT ASK. Very nice ’47 Willys cj2a. Has the original 4 cylinder engine and 3 speed manual. I have a bikini top for it. Not a show piece just a nice driver. Bought this to use as a neighborhood runner in place of my golf cart but changed my mind so here’s your chance. Was told everything was new or rebuilt about 12 years ago. It has basically sat since then. Previous owner used it sparingly. Runs and drives excellent. Clean and clear title. Not a fire sale, I’m just putting it out here. Believe me I have no reservations about wrapping it up and putting it in storage if it doesn’t sell.”
UPDATE: Still Available.
(04/28/2019) Remove the top and you could lose this in a grass field.

“Restored by previous owner and running prior to being garaged a few years ago. Flat head 4 cylinder. Fender is off, but included. Needs new starter which was purchased, but has a different configuration so we did not install. This is an inherited car and we believe the fender was removed to work on the starter. Other new parts included: master cylinder, 4 wheel cylinders, & JC Whitney replacement tail gate. Probably needs new tires.”
Seems in good shape.
