“Mostly original 1946 Willys Jeep CJ2A. This jeep has been in my family for over 50 years. Most of those years were spent on our family farm in Southwest Nebraska. Comes with 2 (like new) Bestop Soft Tops, all 5 of the original wheels (not pictured) and the original owners manual. Has original 6 volt system. Runs well and would be an ideal project jeep for someone that has the time to put into it.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $5000.
The passenger step has been reworked.
“1948 Willy’s JEEP CJ2A just in time for hunting season, this jeep is in good condition with many new parts including:
new carburetor
new fuel tank
new sending unit
new gauges
new tires
new water pump
rebuilt radiator
new hoses
updated wiring harness
The new carb and tank are installed and just need to be plumbed up, a few odds and ends need addressing with most all parts needed are included with the sale. The JEEP will be conveyed with a bill of sale, however the VIN plate is still present (rare for old JEEPS) so you can apply for a bonded title which cost $350 and some paperwork. The JEEP is priced right and with a little work could easily be worth twice as much.”
Has full floaters and an early head, but I don’t see other aspects of a VEC here. It may be an early 2A with a newer body.

(10/02/2018) Looks in very good shape. Has a Koenig top. Might have a custom, lockable compartment in the dash?

This December 1954 Volume I, Issue I was the first issue of the ‘new’ KW Booster News, a monthly newspaper designed to inform employees. Updates would include the newest announcements, company updates, employee updates (such as the new profit sharing model), and intra-company events (such as intramural bowling teams). This first issue introduces the brand new CJ-5, among other announcements.
I’m not sure how many issues of the KW Booster were published. The only other issue of this newspaper on eWillys is the June 1958, Vol. 2, No. 1.
Roger spotted this sign. I can’t tell how large it is, but it looks like a good price.

“NOS New SURE START Engine HEAD BOLT HEATER 110V Willys Jeep Hurricane GMC Case
NOTES/Particulars/Please read all:* This is a Vintage NOS (New Old Stock) Sure Start HEADBOLT HEATER. These were quite popular back in the day for older engines, for ease of start in cold weather. Your grandpa knew what he was doing, and these heaters work quite well when installed correctly. THIS HEAD BOLT HEATER IS FOR VINTAGE ENGINES USING 7/16-14 Head bolts. That is the head bolt shank is 7/16″ (.437”) in diameter X 14 THREADS PER INCH ONLY. ENGINE APPLICATION IS ON PHOTO #3. ALSO the instructions show what headbolt location to use with your engine.
Only the one pic.

(09/15/2018) Mike’s selling this rare CJ-V35/U military CJ-3A.
““This is a very Rare 1950 Willys CJV35/U Waterproof radio Jeep. Only 1000 of these were built in may of 1950 for the USMC. This was the only Military Contract Willys Radio Jeep between WW2 and Korea. Only a handful of these survive. These Jeeps were built on the Willys line side by side with CJ-3A’s but were upgraded at the Willys Factory for the USMC Contract to include a deep water fording kit, waterproof underhood components and other improvements that would later end up on the M-38. Included with this Jeep are many hard to find original parts. Tow Hooks, 2 Lifting Rings, Fuel Tank, Tool Box, Fording Kit, Air Cleaner, Floor Mount Generator casting, Headlight Rings, Pintle Hitch, PTO. The Jeep is running and driving and has new brakes installed. This is S/N CJV-10824. The body is all original except the Hood. The Drivetrain is all original including the V prefix engine that was only in this series of Jeeps. The Body is rough but restorable. The jeep runs, drives shifts and stops. Clean AZ Title. Ready to go to a new home. Email me a phone number and i will contact you.”
Listed as a 1950 CJ-2A.

“350 Chevy Motor
350 Automatic Transmission
Headers
New seats and top, stored in garage.
Body has some rust.
Needs front transmission seal and carb. rebuild.
Was running when parked. Owned 12+ years.”
Based on the serial number, I’d say this is a 1950 Cj-3a, not a 1948 CJ-2A.

UPDATE: Price dropped to $1400.
(10/08/2019) Look like a later 2A grille. Seller notes that it includes an L-head, but it appears from the pic that it is actually an F-head (that does look to have been rebuilt).

“1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A parts. Two jeeps, no titles, basic rust spots. Both have original vin tags attched. Both are rollers with enough parts to put one together. Three sets of rims, regular and white spoked. Rebuilt complete engine transmission and transfer case. 134-L head with GM alternator and power steering pump. Also early 40’s military grill. Extra axles. Fun winter project. Would like not split up package. $1900 or best offer.”
Just some wagon and truck ads this morning. I’ve got the inaugural December 1954 KW Booster News almost ready for Tuesday morning.
Mario shared this article, published on March 25, 1944, in the Courier-Journal out of Louisville, Kentucky. a while ago on Facebook. It shares the news about a Bantam BRC-60 that was sent to the Smithsonian.
There’s a newsreel about the capture of Goch, which credits the Canadian fighters. The photo seen at the bottom includes a medic and jeep ferrying wounded surrounded by destruction.
