Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. “This is a cross between a 1952 willys CJ3a and a 1979 CJ5. The body and frame are 1952 with a title and registration in my name in hand to mach. The axles, dontless v6 engine, trans, powerstearing and seats came from a 79 CJ5.

This thing runs strong, drives ok on the street for what it is. Great trail rig. It’s got wheel adapters on it to fit newer ford 8 lug wheels. It comes with a set of 33s too that are 5 on 5.5 so you can take the adoptors off if you dont like them. Could use some wiring to make it more street legal, brake lights and blinkers, wipers are inop. body is in fairly good shape, full soft top was new just before I bought it. not cut up or full of rust. Also comes with lots of extra parts. I’m asking $4500 obo”
This April 1960 New Style Story on the 2-Wheel Drive ‘Jeep’ Station wagon brochure is unusual in that it starts as a 5.5″ x 11″ brochure that folds out vertically, revealing two pages, then folds outward vertically again revealing the 17″ x 11″ inner page. I’ve seen this style referred to as the Harlequin styling (a Brook Stevens design), but ‘Jeep’ made no reference to any style in the brochure.

(08/23/2019) Listed as a 1944, this has a variety of CJ-2A parts on it. The body appears to be a VEC body. Needs a closer look to sort things out.
“Titled 1944, but have been told body is 45 or 46, engine is 46. Runs and drives, not bad for overall shape. Have all new seats with cushions, new tires, starts right up. Trades possible.”

The Desert Sun published an ad highlighting the payload and wheel base of the FC-170 on October 11, 1962.
Anyone recognize the manufacturer or model of this hardtop? I noticed there were several models when going through the archives. Those long doors and the odd roof makes it distinctive. The way the front edges hug the curve of the CJ-5 top also make it distinctive.
