This April 1946 ad from the Playthings Magazine(?) looks like an Al-Toy, though it doesn’t mention Al-Toy or West-Craft. Instead, Joseph Shaw Manufacturers seems to be taking credit for their production.

Here’s a series of jeep photos from the Portal To Texas History website. There are many, many more: https://texashistory.unt.edu/search/?q=jeep&t=fulltext&sort=&fq=
This is my favorite of the bunch: An M-38A1 with a Schooner-like soft top:
Some interesting mods on this jeep.
This photo is dated 1945, but it’s clearly a 1950s photo based on the grille.
One of the few CJ-2A images in the collection.
The only Ford GP I’ve run across in the photo collection.
This February 2, 1951, photo in the Sycamore Tribune was front page news and highlighted the effects of a train hitting a jeep. I wish the photo quality was better.
UPDATE: That’s to Mark we’ve learned that at least one of these ads ran in the October 1950 issue of Capper’s Farmer magazine.
I don’t remember running across this ad. Note the lack of ‘Jeep’ promotion, part of Willys shift to the promote the Willys branding across the models.

“WWII Ford gpw . good body did run. no windshield frame. complete drive train. has title. phone calls only.”
This has an early set of Husky Hubs. This has no frame horns, but no sign any have been removed. This may also have the bottom mounted transmission cross member (hard to tell for sure). This could be a very late CJ-2A.

(01/12/2020) Jim spotted this partially rebuild tub.
https://dallas.craigslist.org/ndf/pts/d/denton-1958-willys-cj3b-jeep-body-tub/7053857591.html
“Partially restored 1958 Willys CJ3B tub.
Most of the rigorous work has already been done. There is still some metal work left, but 95% rust free at this point, and that’s before blasting! A ton of work has gone into this project so far and picking it up from this point should go smoothly in the right hands. It’s in great shape, no major issues that can’t be repaired easily. Please contact me if interested. Thanks for looking! I could potentially trade for other willys Jeep parts and attachments. Looking for: warn overdrive, Koenig PTO or crankshaft winch, military soft top and bows, Koenig hard top and doors, PTO gearbox, overdrive/PTO adapter, seat frames and cushions. If you have willys parts, let’s deal!”
UPDATE: **SOLD**
“Has new leaf springs, new steel wheels with nearly new tires, tires are not all terrain. Engine runs good. Has been painted John Deer green.”
UPDATE: Still Available. Has an overdrive.
(02/13/2020) The has likely had some bodywork. It appears to have a seat notch on the passenger side rear wheel well.
