“This old Jeep has been sitting in my garage for many years. I don’t know if it will run, but it has minimal rust and the tires will hold air. It is In practically the same shape as it was when my late husband purchased it about 35 years ago. It could be restored. It has never been wrecked or in an accident since my late husband acquired it. Since it is 1948 model it is BOS only.”

“Vintage 48-53 Willys Jeep CJ. Barn find. Original drivetrain (F134 Hurricane engine, T90 transmission, Dana 18 transfer case, Dana 25 front, Dana 44 rearend). Custom pusher, rollcage. Converted to 12 volt system. Brought it home as a project but wife is not cool with her car left out in the rain while the jeep is in the garage. I have not tried to start it yet as I only have weekends to tinker with it. The only thing I’ve had time to do is clean out the debris and do some research on Willys. Great rare find with lots of potential for the right person. $1500. Not interested in any trades at this time.”
Not sure how much value is here.

“1947 willys Jeep. Excellent condition. ”
Here’s the 1948 Report On The Universal ‘Jeep’ in Conservation I mentioned last week. At twenty-three pages, it’s larger than I expected with lots of photos. All but three of the photos were taken at the Rio Grande College Farm in Ohio (see last page for more info).
Peter wrote from Poland, explaining that he’s rebuilt a variety of Willys Jeeps. However, he’s not had any luck learning about these two items below and is hoping someone has more information about them.
1. This filter has two necks. Anyone have more information about it?
2. This USMC stamped Jerry can has a European neck, something he’s not seen. Anyone know more about it? (Note that the bottom is red)
No date on this photo of Joseph K. Brown checking this 1952/early 1953 M-38A1. There’s a possibility that this could be Joseph K. Brown who served in the Korean War and died in 2013.
