1961 Truck Roswell, GA **SOLD*

This truck appears to have a rare set of HUB LOK hubs. My research suggested they were produced by the Dana Corp. The only set I’ve run across for sale were sold out of Georgia, so maybe the hubs had more popularity in that area??

What’s that on the back? A feeder of some type?

“Up for sell is a 1954 Jeep Willys M38A1. It has been great to us but we no longer need it due to us selling our ranch. It was repainted in a line-x paint about 4 years ago and had a majority of things replaced. It has new mud tires and new locking warn hubs put on before we parked it a couple of months ago. 3 Speed manual, 4X4 works great just needs a carburetor kit and a battery and will be up and running. It can be started if you would like to see it on. We also do have original fuel tank but had a small leak so we took it off but it can be repaired. Can send more info and better picture on request. No Title, Bill of Sale.”

Looks in good shape. It might be the photo lighting, but the area around the driver side drain hole doesn’t appear smooth.

Fun to cruise around in. 3 speed T-90 and Spicer transfer case. 5.38:1 original gearing. New clutch, new brake master cylinder, new tires, Superwinch locking front hubs, newer black Bestop soft top. History:
This vehicle was purchased in 2002 at 75,866 miles on the odometer. It was maintained and driven weekly for a few years. It was then parked for approximately 8 years. In 2014 the cylinders were soaked with Marvel Mystery Oil and the engine was turned by hand. After a tuneup, some distributor parts and a carb rebuild it cranked right up. The wagon was then garaged until recently. This vehicle is being sold “as is” to make room in the garage, as well as to give another enthusiast the pleasure of working on and driving such a great historical vehicle.

“The perplexed look on peoples faces when they see 4 shifters sticking up through the floor board is priceless. I’ve owned this Jeep for nearly 5 years with no plans to ever sell it but with a family of 4 (+3 dogs) I never drive it. On top of that we’re building a house at 8100 ft on the mountain and without a garage I can’t stand to see it sit outside anymore. This Jeep was professionally built, no “hack work” on this rig. Adult owned, never abused, I’ve only driven it to town and on the back roads around the lake where I live.

I am not going to be able to finish this Jeep as I had hoped so I am selling it.

It has a 231 v-6 engine that has the HEI ignition. I have run the engine with pouring fuel down the carb and jumper wires, it sounded good and started right up.
It has a T-14 3 speed trans mission, and a single lever M-18 transfercase. the engine- trans assembly probably all came from a 70’s jeep.
It has a complete Rancho suspension, Rancho shocks and springs with about 2” lift and heavy duty Con-Ferr shackles

Runs, but needs work. Might be worth a look.

“Up for sale is, what I believe is a 1956, Willys Jeep CJ5. The serial number under the hood reads 57548-14914. I am selling this for my uncle so please excuse my lack of knowledge on the vehicle. I do know you will not be able to drive it home, however it does run and you can test drive it before buying it. It has a Buick V8 with a Turbo 350 automatic transmission with a B&M ratchet shifter. Has 36″ super swamper tires which are pretty dry rotted but all hold air. It has Warn manual locking front hubs with a Dana 30 front end and Dana 44 rear end. It has a homemade canopy top which can be easily removed. frame is in good shape and body is in decent shape with a few dings and dents and some surface rust. This jeep needs a restoration, but it is a running and, we’ll say moving, project.”

This beautiful old Jeep was purchased new in 1962 for my mother for her weekly “Jeep rides”. However, shortly thereafter my parents purchased a summer house on the lake and the Jeep was parked in the garage most of the time while the water was enjoyed. When I inherited it in 2005, I had it compleely gone through mechanically. There were a couple of bubbles, so it was professionally repainted in the original color. It sat in the garage once again until I had it inspected in 2008. I hoped that I finally had the time to drive and enjoy my beloved Jeep. However, to my dismay I discovered that my newly diagnosed rheumatoid artritis prevented me from safely driving it. So I parked it in the garage once again until I finally realized that it is time to sell my Jeep to someone who can truly enjoy it. Continue reading

“What a cool Jeep! This 1947 Jeep Willy’s 4-Wheel Drive fires right up, and drives around the parking lot quite well! It’s hard to find them in such good of shape. Whether you are looking for something fun to drive around town on a weekend or just something with collector’s value to store away for years to come, this Jeep Willys could be just the vehicle you’re looking for!

The flat four-cylinder motor still propels this Jeep along quite well. The leather canvas soft top is water tight, and does a great job of keeping out the cold and the weather while the modern Best Top soft doors make getting in and out a breeze. Locking front hubs, and a 4WD system that is fully functional make this Jeep as practical to have for the homestead as it is cool.

1962 Wagon Canyon Lake, TX **SOLD**

• CATEGORIES: Willys Wagons • TAGS: , This site contains affiliate links for which I may be compensated.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $8950.

Looks in good shape.

“This is an original, unrestored, and unmolested station wagon which was first purchased in Pueblo, CO and spent the majority of its life there. The PO brought it to Texas before selling it. The wagon still sports its original Peacock Blue color. Though worn, it still retains the matching interior seats, headliner, and door panels. Only the front seat has been reupholstered.

The engine is the then optional Super Hurricane straight six cylinder that is coupled to a manual three speed, two speed transfer case with manual locking Warn front hubs.

Updates include new brakes, wheel cylinders, and flexible hoses all around, plus a new master cylinder. The carburetor, starter, and steering gear box have been rebuilt. There are new tie rod ends and the steering drag link refurbished. The Warn hubs have been serviced to include new o-rings and gaskets. Additionally, there is a new gas tank, new fuel pump, new spark plugs, and a new factory correct wiring harness. The oil and oil filter have been changed as well as flushing the radiator and replacing the anti-freeze.

There are two small through rust holes — one on the right and one on left side fenders. Also, there are some small holes in the tailgate where it appears someone tried to pull out a dent. There are some lumps and bumps, dents, and minor surface rust consistent with a vehicle this age. However, it is in amazing rust free condition for an unrestored vehicle i.e. it has “age appropriate” patina.

The following items require attention at some point. The wipers and horn are not currently functioning. There is an oil leak coming from the engine pan gasket. The transmission synchros are worn which requires double clutching when down shifting.

These Willys Super Hurricane Six, 4X4 wagons are getting harder to find particularly in unmolested and virtually rust free condition. The mileage shown of 105,00 + is accurate according to the PO. Call, ask questions, and take it for a drive. You will be pleased. ”

“This beautiful 1946 CJ2A Willys Jeep has been completely restored to a “daily driver” level. These vehicles are becoming very rare as most have either been destroyed or heavily modified. Few are available with the stock engine, power train and body.

1946 was the very first year a civilian “Jeep” was produced – with most parts converted directly from WWII production lines. At 70 years old, it remains a very functional and practical historical vehicle. Gearing is very low in these vehicles – they will go almost anywhere with both high and low range 4 wheel drive. The front hubs are locking/unlocking. This Willys makes an excellent “around town” driver, cruise-in and parade car, as well as a great hunting and exploring vehicle. An overdrive can easily be installed if desired (it does not currently have one). This is NOT a freeway cruising vehicle – it is a 40-45 mph driver!

Rplaced stock leaf springs and original shocks with Rocky Mountain parabolic springs, Old Man Emu long-travel shocks, longer military spring shackles, and rear bump stop extensions.
