“This 1957 Willys Jeep FC-150 was refurbished under previous ownership in 2016 and acquired by the selling dealer in February 2023. Work during the refurbishment involved installing a GM Vortec 4.3-liter V6, a TH400 three-speed automatic transmission, a Dana Spicer dual-range transfer case, Dana 44 axles, a locking rear differential, and a hydraulic cab tilt mechanism. A front disc brake conversion was completed, the truck was repainted in the current shade of metallic silver with orange flame motifs, and the interior was overhauled with replacement upholstery. Additional equipment includes U.S. Wheel 15″ steel wheels, manually locking front hubs, B&M shifters, and an Edelbrock intake manifold and carburetor. This FC-150 is now offered with refurbishment records and a clean Oregon title.”

“This 1967 Jeep CJ-5 is finished in white over black vinyl upholstery and powered by a 225ci Dauntless V6 mated to a three-speed manual transmission and a dual-range transfer case. It is equipped with a black soft top and doors, along with a roll bar, a Badlands winch, a spare tire carrier, a Hi-Lift jack, 16″ steel wheels, Warn manually locking front hubs, and a K&N air filter. The truck was acquired by the seller in November 2021, and subsequent work reportedly included rebuilding the cylinders heads and a valve job in addition to a refresh of the steering system and replacement of the water pump, fuel pump, and carburetor. “This 1955 Willys M38A1 is finished in green and black, the vehicle is powered by the original 134 cubic inch F134 inline four-cylinder engine with a rebuilt T90 three speed manual transmission and a two-speed transfer case. Additional equipment includes a bikini top, a canvas top, doors, side panels, rear-mounted jerry can and spare tire, manually locking front hubs, and 16-inch steel wheels. The Jeep has a BDS Suspension 2” lift with 7.50×16 Deestone bias-ply tires. For additional safety, a roll bar and seat belts were installed.

The interior features front bucket seats and a rear bench seat with new canvas and seat foam. The rear seat is removable and shows the original Strata Blue paint. The dash was rebuilt using NOS sheet metal and has new gauges, switches, and USB charging ports. A 67 Designs rail system was installed to hold electronic devices while on the go. The original brass data plates are still in place on the dash under the passenger side grab handle. A new wiring harness was installed one year ago, and all accessories are wired through a fuse panel. Electric wiper motors were also installed.

The engine has a Pertronix electronic ignition, rebuilt carburetor, new fuel lines, and a new fuel tank. The valve stem seals were recently replaced, and a valve adjustment was completed at that time.

Unique features include a rear mounted fog light, and an LED work light replaces what would have been a black-out light on the front fender. The vehicle is also equipped with a siren.”

I just drove it around town and to Home Depot for fun. The jeep spent most of it’s life in California before I had it shipped to Indiana. The seller notes that 1955 was the first year Warn offered the five-ring warn hubs. Actually, they (both the locking and the automatic hubs) were offered as early as 1953, according to at least two different ads. One 1953 ad (note the Feb 1953 Motor Trend Magazine for example was a full blown brochure, while this 1953 ad below was included in the September 1953 Popular Science magazine:

All that said, and back to the original purpose of this post, the wagon looks nice, though it does have an updated engine.

“For sale or trade. I am gunsmith so primary interest is firearms but no harm in asking. This is a great Willys that can be driven just the way it is or you can pursue additional restoration. Everything works, 4×4, factory Warn hub locks (first year those were offered), overdrive, front and rear PTO with a winch on the front bumper. Dual fuels tanks. Older paint still looks good, just not shiny. Seats were all just rebuilt (foam and covering) in a canvas looking modern material. Less than 200 miles on a completely rebuilt and balanced Chevy L6 250 with MSD Distributor and Electronic Ignition. Starts and hums along very smoothly. Everything works, every light, all gauges, the chrome winch ect…oh and there’s chrome all over the place. Original paint, Original interior.. both are in incredible condition. It’s a very unique Jeep and it’s running a Corvette engine that was installed by the original owner in the mid sixties.He was a aircraft mechanic so everything is perfect .It also has very rare Thor electronic locking front hub set .
