About eWillys
Welcome to eWillys.com, a website for vintage jeep enthusiasts. I update this website nearly every day with jeep deals, jeep history, interesting reader projects, jeep related info, and more.
These quick searches can help you find things on eBay. People list in the wrong categories all the time, so don't be surprised to see brochures in the parts area for example.
The links to posts below show jeeps grouped by models, condition, and other ways. Some of these jeeps are for sale and others have been sold. If you are unsure whether a vehicle is still for sale or not, email me at d [at] ewillys.com for more info.
Importantly, the allure of buying a project jeep can be romantic. The reality of restoring a jeep can be quite different, expensive and overwhelming without the right tools and resources. So, tread carefully when purchasing a "project". If you have any concerns about buying a vintage jeep, or run across a scam, feel free to contact me for help, comments or concerns .

UPDATE: I received this in the mail. It’s a surprisingly hefty booklet!
I had just enough time to win this brochure on eBay Sunday. It’s 52 pages. Willys even offered a DJ-3A for the military. I’m guessing this is a 1956 brochure, as it includes the CJ-6 and DJ-3A, but not any FCs.
Below are the seven pages posted on the eBay auction (it will be a while before I can scan this).

A jeep makes a brief appearance at the end of this short news clip from 1943 titled “Riders In Gliders – Dublin”
“Several shots of the lines of gliders and men working on them – possibly in the factory. Various shots of glider pilots boarding their craft. With a tow from powered plane, the gliders go into the air and the pilots are left on their own. A glider makes a perfect landing. A jeep emerges out of one of the gliders – demonstration of the carrying power of these craft.”
It’s been a couple long days, but 95% of the stuff has been moved. We have some family here now, so we should make more good progress this weekend. My brain is a bit fried, to the point I can’t think of anything clever to write (this of course assumes that I’ve written clever prose in the past; if I haven’t, don’t spoil my delusions … ).
UPDATE: Barney Goodwin spotted a similar tool kit branded by Cadillac:
===================
Original posted Dec 10, 2021: Anyone familiar with this unusual took kit that’s been listed on eBay for $80 obo? Was it included in any jeeps or just offered as a dealer option? I would guess it was available in the early 1970s?
I’ve had these same tools for years, but didn’t know they came in a Jeep-marked tool kit container. Here’s my tools (there is nothing marked “jeep”).

Just a reminder for those that are wondering why the updates are so unpredictable right now. There are lots of transitions happening for the next month or so ….
Our move to the new property remains ongoing. The big push occurs Friday as we’ll be moving most everything into the new house that day from the Pasco house. Then, this weekend, we’ll have some family help to get the house and property in better order.
By the end of next week, we’ll think we’ll be ready to list the old house. We expect it to sell in 48 hours or so, as the house is a good one with a great backyard, and the market remains on fire.
Once we get settled at the new place, I will then begin making trips to Renton to pick up jeeps, equipment, tools, and family items from my mother’s place, so there will likely be some interruptions during that period as well.
When in Renton, I will need some help. There are a few heavy items, like a family coal cart, that I may need help loading. I’ll provided an update on that when the time comes.

“One day in 2013, I was talking with a buddy and he asked if I was interested in a Willys Jeep and since I was thinking about a “project” car, I said yes. Well, I got this little gem on a farm in the Hood River Valley! I call it Taz Willy and he has won several trophies at car shows! But, as happens with time, I have purchased a travel trailer and will be doing more traveling so I decided to give someone else the opportunity to have fun with Taz.
Even though he was used in the orchard as a spraying machine, and stored for quite a while, he was in good shape and all the dried mud on his underside protected him from rusting! I stripped him down to his frame and painted it with frame paint to continue his protection.
The engine has been rebuilt by Portland Engine Rebuild using the original f-head engine block. It is the 4 cylinder stock engine. Engine has 925 miles – all road miles.
The transmission is the original– 3-speed with compound low. This required only replacement of fluid. I works good. Continue reading →
