I’ve been unable to find any additional information about this jeep. There might be some mention of it in the Los Angeles Department of Transportation archives (if such archives exist).
1946? French CJ-2A Brochure on eBay
This looks to me to be a circa-1946 early brochure for the CJ-2A printed in French. It is 4 pages.

“1964 Jeep Willys Wagon. Inline 4 cylinder. 3 speed on the tree. Overdrive kick in above 35 mph with lock out. Good tires. Starts easily. Runs and drives great. Clean interior. No radio. Wipers intermittently work. Blower appears to work and provide heat. Fuel gauge does not work. 5 digit odometer. Not perfect but is road worthy. Any questions just ask”

1962 FC-170 Boise, ID **SOLD**
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $7000.
Seller is taking the highest bid for this FC-170. He indicates the highest one is $7000 at this point. It does not run at the moment.
“It was a barn find and I am in way over my head and do not have the time or space for this project. Supposedly it ran and was driven to where it was parked in a shop and sat there since 2004. The engine does turn over but I do not want to actually try and start it with out flushing the tank and lines. I don’t know much about it except for it’s rare and it’s a Jeep. No major rust. Floors are still intact. It’s needs lots of love but is very solid. I just do not have time for it.
Offers are being entertained until Saturday the 15th. Current bids are up to $7,000. No low ballers or tire kickers. Serious buyers only.
4 cylinder engine
Looks like a newer transfer case”

1942 MB Los Gatos, CA $15,000
Fr. Thomas Archer is selling this Willys MB. He plans to send all proceeds to the Church of the Immaculata in St. Mary’s Kansas. See details here: https://www.anewimmaculata.org/.
https://willysforsale.com/ads/1942-willys-mb-all-proceeds-go-to-charity/
“Built in August of 1942 this is an early war Jeep that saw it all, rolling off the assembly line the week we invaded Guadalcanal and months before we landed in North Africa.
I am going to say it needs total restoration as I don’t want to nit pick with a bunch of tire kickers – though others would call it parade ready. It is a good solid Jeep that has minimal rust with solid metal in the floor (one spot under passenger seat. Some rust in hat channels and tool indents though the gas tank well is solid.
Engine looks like it has a civilian Willys head on a pre-war Go-Devil engine.
I put 5 new tires and tubes on it recently. I also added the top bows and while all the hardware is great, I am not happy with the quality of the bows. Still, they come with the Jeep. I also put the original WW2 front hubs back on it and got rid of the postwar lock-out hubs you see in some of the pictures. I have the front seat back pad I just took it off temporarily to accommodate my “front pad” if you know what I mean. Also, replaced windshield rubber and added wipers recently.
Pictures in the ad go from more to less recent. It does have a heavy front bumper with a tow bar that comes with it. Bumper gussets are present and intact though one has a crack. Front serial number plate is still present on the front frame member. It runs, drives and stops fine and 4WD and Hi-Lo work as they should. As I said this is a solid restoration candidate and a way to help a worthy cause at the same time.
I am aware that the price may be considered relatively high-ish but I am not overly interested in selling it other than as a means to help a charitable cause”

https://www.facebook.com/marketplace/item/3515439378534315/
“1952 cj2 has title runs and drives. Body is on a 56 cj5 frame. 5000 takes the running one with spare parts and the old frame as well as the cj5 body with no title for parts. Currently has antique tags and is road legal but needs lots of work as none of the lights are yet hooked up. Has fresh head gasket and got head shaved. 4×4. Fun to play around with but I don’t have time and were getting a side by side. Will entertain reasonable offers.”

1953 M-38A1 Gilbert, AZ $8900
Mark just published this jeep over at warjeeps.com.
http://www.warjeeps.com/mjs/sale21/ad119/ad119.html
“Excellent running and driving military Jeep with zero rust or body damage. The grey primer was previous owners concept of camouflage!! Original drivetrain, military hurricane engine. Hard top and doors. Hard top has a rust hole on the top. The Jeep is so solid and mechanically excellent. 12 volt. Easy to restore to olive drab color and it true glory for very little money. Wheels as you see are not correct but make great driving on street.”
Year? CJ-2A Bennington, VT $4500

“My grandfather left me this jeep when he moved down south. It was parked many years ago because he sheared the shaft in the tranny down shifting. Motor did run when it was parked many years ago, but also have other motors and extra trannys, axles, and drive shafts, lights, buttons, seats, fenders… you name it I have it. The body is a 1952 and the frame is a later 1940s. Make an offer and lets make a deal”
1954 “Marilyn Monroe in Korea” Video
Marilyn Monore’s trip to Korea is featured. At one point she can be seen in an early M-38A1. The most fascinating part of the video to me was the sea of soldiers gathered to watch her.
“MS. Monroe on steps of plane waving. LS. G.I’s running. Various shots, Monroe in army uniform walking about. MS. Monroe running up steps to entertain troops. LS. Monroe on stage entertaining troops”
1956 DJ-3A Convertible Newton, NC $11,995
Tom spotted this nice looking DJ-3A Convertible. It doesn’t look like it has the convertible top and it’s missing the hubcaps, but otherwise this seems one of the better DJ convertibles that I’ve seen. It looks like it’s been repainted at some point.

The styling and engineering of the Jeep Truck was based on Willys’ existing vehicles, the Willys Jeep Station Wagon and the Jeep CJ-2. Cash or certified check only.”
Early 1950s Softtop Driver’s Door Walla Walla, WA $35
