Jim sent this my direction. Theres a number of varying Willys and Jeep brochures from early years up to today.
Some examples below
This looks like a nice rig for the price.
“1945 4 x 4 Jeep Willy. $4,000 or BO. V8 Chevy engine, new seats. Great condition”
There’s been some patching and cutting to the driver’s side.
“2nd World War Issue, Starts and drives, Original Engine, Spare engine and Trans, In garage for YEARS, HAS A CLEAR TITLE, Call Dave (360)394-3862”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $4500.
I can’t say I’ve ever seen modded 4×4 quite like this.
“my father built this jeep in the 70s it started out as a 67 wagoneer shortened the frame by 21 inches put a 351 clevland in it frome a 70 torino with a ten bolt top loader 4spd the motor is hopped up cam/carb/the moudual went out in the electronic dist so i put the points dist back in and it is running but needs timed”
There’s clearly lots of time and money put into this custom CJ-3A. If the model (cj-3a) is accurate, it’s one of probably several hundred. This has some stainless parts.
“Classic Willys, customized with all the extras. Original 1948 body, 225 Odd-fire V6 1965 Buick engine, T18 truck transmission 4 speed 7:1 ratio deep under. Power steering, power locks front and rear. Stainless steel grill and windshield, chrome rockguards, custom Emiron black paint–lots more. Rebuilt “new” in 1983, 9500 miles since and kept garaged when not in use. Over $24,000 of customized extras plus 4 years of labor. A labor of love and it kills me to part with it, but I need the money. No trades. ”
UPDATE: Additional details and a price of $850 has been added.
This doesn’t run, but at $850 is worth a look!
“This jeep does not run, but is a great project! i have another willys motor that runs great that i can throw in w/ the sell. all the parts are there and very little rust. the frame is just about rust free, same w/ the floor boards! min. body rust. i do not have a title for this jeep, but being a 1947 it is not hard to have a new title made_ will transport up to 50 miles from bristol, wi. thanks”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6500
I don’t see any rust on this FC. It appears in good, original condition.
“1962 Jeep Willys FC170 Forward Control. Only 30,000 of these were made. Hard to find in this condition. Looks and runs great. 58,000 original miles. If you are looking for a work or show truck, this is it! I’ll buy the tabs and you can drive it home. Contact 425-225-5085 or email niarpderf47@msn.com.”
Our intrepid Afghan Bureau Chief, Buck, has safely returned from his all-expenses paid stay in Afghanistan, courtesy of the Federal Government. He’s jumped back into his restoration project and had this positive report to file about his experience with Dataplates4U.com experience.
Buck writes, “I am nearing the end of my jeep restoration and was in need of data plates for the jeep. I had only the original patents plate left because all the others were long lost in the annals of time so replacements were required. I began the research and started talking with Robert at Dataplates4u.com (a small business in the Netherlands). Luckily the serial number was still readable so I was able to have him stamp the appropriate information onto the plates. Everything is dead-nuts accurate down to the fasteners and the font on the stamping. Take a look, the man does outstanding work and reasonable as well…I paid $156 USD for all four plates, stamping, fasteners, and shipping from Holland. As you can tell there is no way I can be disappointed with the result.”
A Quick Clarification: This post relates to the CJ-2A.com site and not thecj2apage.com. Both great sites. Thanks for reminder Sean!
Sometimes I don’t get out and check out other jeeps sites often enough. So, I was browsing a bit today and dropped by the CJ-2A.com, which now has a new format.
One of the coolest new tools is the CJ-2A parts list and manual. The tool allows you to browse through and find lists and manual excerpts. So, if you don’t have a manual handy, I think you’ll find this really helpful.
Here’s a 1943/44 Ambulance. It looks like an unusual find.
“Selling a 1943 or 1944 willys ambulance. It ran a few years ago and needs towed away. You can contact me on my e-mail or call me at (909)-890-8101/ (909)-867-4448. my names Ben. The ambulance is currently in the )sanbernardino mountians (running springs is you have questions the best way to contact me is by phone. The computer is not allowing me to post pictures but i will gladly email them to you.”
This appears in good shape.
“1947 Willy Jeep CJ-2A for sale. The original commercial Jeep and a true piece of Americana. Original 4 cyl 134 cu in engine. Spec original tires, 4×4 w/locking hubs, excellent condition soft cover (paid $1000 for), new doors, converted to 12v w/ 12v guages, but have 6v parts, Rancho suspension, tow bar w/ winch. Runs very well in perfect working order. Everything works!!! Fun little jeep to drive around town or in the mountains!! $4500 obo.”
This looks like it needs some work.
“1945 cj2a with half military parts has m38a1 motor 134 f head with new head gasket runs needs starter and work on brakes has a roll bar and side rails would make a great hunting jeep”
The seller has added a price and clarified thisis a 1944 GPW.
“Nice and fun jeep to drive .. there is a pin hair crack near the distribtor in the block …but the jeep runs and drives it all ready for the next person .. in done lots of money invested”
This appears to be in very good shape for the price. The engine even runs.
“1964 Willy’s Jeep FC 170 L-6 motor (runs) needs restoration Robert cell 860-883-7722”
This looks like it could be a good price for an MB in very good condition.
“THIS 1943 WILLYS ARMY JEEP IS AVAILABLE AS PART OF THE LIQUIDATION OF A COLLECTION OF COLLECTIBLES PARTING OUT AN ESTATE. IT IS STREET LEGAL WITH DIRECTIONALS AND WAS MANUFACTURED DURING WW II WHEN THERE WAS NO CIVILIAN VEHICLE PRODUCTION. IT CAN BE SEEN BY APPOINTMENT BY CALLING JOHN AT 609-665-0679 OR ANN AT 609-965-4058 OR REQUESTING MORE INFO BY E-MAILING frcvette@aol.com”
“$1500 OBO. 1953 CJ3B in the process of being restored. Everything is stock, but the stock axles are not under it (they’ll need new lock-out hubs). Currently it has a set of CJ5 axles under it for moving purposes (included). The springs are brand new Rancho 2.5″ lift springs and new shocks. New front and rear bumper and the frame has been stripped and painted. It’s been pretty well cleaned up and ran 2 years ago when I started the rebuild. Engine still turns by hand. The body is gone except for the firewall, but the data plates are here. Basically, I’m bored with it and have no money. As far as I know, to start it all ya need is a bolt for the block (one of the bolts for the carb is stripped. It’s out, but ya need a new one), fuel lines and electrical. Everything is there, with a spare windshield and windshield frame, early CJ roll bar, and an extra set of gauges for the dash.”
This might be a very good deal. Note: the engine needs work..
“You are looking at a 1959 Cj-3a. Body is in good shape..there is a new gas tank, fuel pump, coil-over shocks and other small items. I have the frame for the top which will go with the jeep. It needs seats..( I do have the frames that was in it when I bought it ) .. The original 134 L-head engine is complete but does not run…it will turn over. It has a bad rod..but it is an easy rebuild..All parts can be bought from Turner 4-Wheel in Canton. This is a great restorable jeep or a great hunting jeep. All the electrical works and the 4-wheel drive works. For you jeep guys—–it is a 1959 body..looks like a DJ though..but it is on 4-wheel chasis. The vin # is a ’59 DJ.. look at the pics”
There was no price listed on this trencher. It’s bit rusted, but these are hard to find.
“Trencher from an old jeep. Just removed from the jeep. Complete. Call Bob at 605 852 2156”
This appears to have a CJ-3B windshield with a CJ-2A body and maybe a CJ-3A title?
“1952 Willys jeep. Would be a great project or hunting vehicle. Runs but needs a new carb. Has recently been converted to 12 volt. Has the flat head 4cly.(go devil)? Comes with tow bar and tows great. The jeep has some rust and holes but could be patched. Comes with a hard top also, and a extra military hood. I am in the process of working on this jeep so price is, as is right now. Call Chuck 719-243-3425”
It appears in decent shape.
“CHECK THIS OUT. 48 WILLY’S CJ2A, 4X4 , 4 CYL., STICK. RUNS GOOD BUT BODY NEEDS A LITTLE TLC.”
This MB appears in good shape, though I can see some body dents. I think it has a CJ-3B windshield though.
“1945 military Willy’s jeep. 4-cylinder motor. some rust. runs great. clear title. all original. painted military drab. new windshield. with military tires. David Escalera- (352)538-9761”
Something is collapsing in the middle of this jeep — either the frame or the front of the body.
“Buick V6 all Edelbrock performance parts. fully locked up, free floating hubs, cb radio, safari top and full top included, removable tow bar, back seat. runs good. WIll take any reasonable offer!!!! Cash only..”
UPDATE: Price dropped to $6000
This seller claims this CJ-3A has an aluminum body. These are certainly rare.
“Willey’s Jeep, 350 V-8, all aluminum body, 2″ Rancho lift, new tires and rims(951) 766-7223”
UPDATED: The seller only has this green one left.
“jeep, 46 has no motor but has everything from the bellhousing back, 450$ I have more pics I can email. Thanks”
