Some put a ‘seats wanted’ on Craigslist.
“I am looking for front seats for my CJ2 A of which a 2A, 3A or M38 flat fender will fit. Does not need to be covered, frames are ok.”

Here’s a variety of pics from Gerald. Thanks for sharing!
Here’s Gerald’s trailer and his jeep with Military Tires. The tires make a world of difference. You can see the jeep with the mini terras here.
Here’s some old dealership photos:
Damn, what a lucky kid this guy was … I’m gonna have to talk to mom and dad about this! I had to wait until I was 18 for my first ‘real’ jeep!
I can’t tell how young/old this photo is:
And this is just for fun. If you didn’t catch it, there was a fascinating documentary on the 2006 auction of Star Trek Memorabilia.
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $3500.
There appears to be some stainless parts on this. It might be a good value.
“1953 Willy’s Jeep, Original 4 cylinder flat head motor. Rebuilt with only 10,000 miles. Warn overdrive, Rancho shocks and Rancho 3 inch lift kit, converted from original 6v to 12v.30in BF Goodrich all terrian tires, chrome tail gate and heavy duty chrome front bumper. runs great, must sell.”
It doesn’t run, but appears complete. Based on the year, I’d say this is a CJ-3A, but the bow holders on the driver’s side suggest CJ-2A.
“It’s a pretty great jeep. I really, REALLY hate having to sell it but, as we all know the economy sucks. Anyways, about the jeep: Of course it doesn’t run it’s been sitting for about 2 years, under cover about 1 year 6 months. Mostly electrical work is needed, and I imagine there is a load of work to be done under the hood. Ran and drove 2 years ago. Stock cover is still in great condition, just needs a thorough wash. Interier is dusty and smelly. Hundreds of extra parts laying around. (Doubles of what’s on the jeep already). NOT a parts vehicle, or un-finished project. Just needs a good strong elbow or two on her for a while.
Will most likely need all 4 new tires, but they haven’t been filled with air in a long time so they might still work, who knows Lol. All are welcome to take a look if you like, shoot me an offer first and we’ll see where we can go from there.”
Check out the knob sticking out of the emergency brake hole. What is that? Also, the carburetor just barely sticks out of the hood. I suspect the air cleaner attaches above the hood? The seller notes that with the exception of the engine, everything is original, which isn’t true.
“This jeep is in good condition with a 52 overhead valve engine, everything else is original…Steering has been rebuilt…new battery…This has the 4 wheel drive with low and high…and it works good.. It shows 36967 but I can’t confirm this. This would make a great hunting/fishing jeep or one to just have fun in…thanks for looking..rudy”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was on eBay.
No offense to the seller, but the seller writes that the low retail value of these are $4100 and the high is $19,000. I suggest the seller visit eWillys for a dose of reality.

This looks like it has the Hudson steering column.
“Hey there, I am letting my Project go that I just never got around to starting. It is a 1946 willys jeep, CJ2A. The motor was converted to a small block chevy 265 ci out of a 1955 Car. Other than that, the drive/power train is original. My buddies godfather restored it back in 1986 and painted it with lacquer base paint. Its in way restorable condition. Would make a great wheeler project or use as a great original restoration platform. If there are any questions, please feel free to email or call me at 253 205 74 six four.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $2500.
I can’t tell how rough the body is from the one pic.

“1947 CJ2A $1200.00 FIRM…. 134 L-head 4cyc engine, T-90, 3 speed manual trans, Model 18, 2 speed t-case. This will be a great project car, it doesn’t run and it needs a frame up resto. Engine, trans, transfer case, diffs, driveline included. Mostly all original parts, right down to the steering wheel. Complete vehicle, just needs to be fixed. I was told that all numbers match, I’ve never looked. There are no major modifications, wheels and tires are not original, tires are flat. This Jeep had been sitting for decades is the Santa Clarita area, until I moved it to northern NV. There is surface rust, no body rot or cancer. There are corner plates on the back. These are bolted on and can be removed.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $800.
It’s a parts jeep. Note the later model drive train from a CJ-5. I’m not sure what’s attached to the back of the jeep.
“clean out garage have to may project going on 1947 willys jeep for sale NO TITLE . Has dauntless v6 last run last summer .. All jeep drive train form a cj5 have everthing .”
I doubt there’s much salvagable. Maybe it’s not as bad as it looks?
“1942 jeep willys body make offer call pete 216-6627”
This runs and is supposed to be 98% rust free. Might be a good deal. That’s not the original engine, but at least there’s no hole in the hood!
“I am selling my 1947 WILLYS jeep. The jeep is 98% rust free and original. THe jeep is in real nice shape for its age it has been stored inside most of it’s life but it has been sitting outside for the last few weeks. I am asking $1700 FIRM might do some trading. I will post pics soon.”
There’s been some mods to this.

“IT DOES NOT HAVE POWER STEERING, BUT IT IS MANAGEABLE EVEN LOADED WITH GUYS AND GEAR. I HAVE USED A LOT OF HI RACK JEEPS AND THIS IS THE BEST ONE I HAVE OPERATED. IT IS JUST BUILT RIGHT. IT IS COMFORTABLE AND THE PERFECT SIZE. THE TOP HOLDS 2 BIG GUYS, FOUR GUNS AND EXTRA STORAGE. THE QUAIL RACK HOLDS 2 GUYS AND 2 GUNS. THERE IS A BASKET IN THE MIDDLE FOR SHELLS OR A COOLER. THE TITLE IS NOT TRANSFERRED INTO MY NAME,IT IS THE ORIGINAL 78 TITLE, BUT HAS BEEN SIGNED BY PREVIOUS SELLER. I DID NOT BOTHER TRANSFERRING INTO MY NAME BECAUSE I HAD NO INTEREST IN PUTTING IT ON THE ROAD. IT WOULD TAKE SOME TIME TO GET THE TITLE STRAIT. TWO BILLS OF SALES WILL BE INCLUDED. THE SPEEDO DOSENT WORK ALONG WITH SOME GAUGES. THIS JEEP HAS NOT BEEN TAGGED SINCE 1990. I HAVE DRIVEN IT ON THE ROAD IN WEST TEXAS, AND IT HANDLES VERY WELL. IF I LEFT SOMETHING OUT BE SURE TO ASK.”
If you didn’t see the first round of pics, go here. These are a second round of pics that Paul generously provided. Thanks again Paul and great work!
No stories with these pics, just eye candy 🙂
