UPDATE: Still Available. Seller is moving soon; so needs to sell.
The body and frame are $600. Other parts are more. Apparently, the seller has been getting his Ad flagged.
“I have a 1946 CJ2A body that sits on a a ’76 CJ5 frame, and is ready to be a serious crawler. It has had a ton of work, and was all done properly. This is not some hack job welded together with a tiny little 110v welder. I would like to get $600 for the body and frame alone, but am taking offers. It is sitting in my back yard and I hate to see it get all rusted and end up going to the scrap yard. I have a ford HP dana 60, and a CO14 that could also go with it, but they of course will be much more. If you are interested in seeing it email me. I know the pix aren’t great, but there better then none. I simply have to many projects and this one has to go”
Lots of pics of this in progress jeep. Plenty of good work has been done and much work left.
“1955 Jeep M38A1
Too many projects not enough garage time! 1955 M38A1 Military Jeep. It was a running and driving Jeep a few years ago and I tore it down to restore the frame, motor, body and wiring. The frame was sand blasted and re painted in gloss OD. All the frame bushings, spring bushings and shackles were replaced and new brake lines were installed front and rear. The motor ran good and did not smoke so all I did was strip, paint and re-gasket it. This Jeep has been a military Jeep it’s whole life so there is no extra crap added to it. All the 24 volt stuff is still on it. I do have a new OE (1955) wiring harness for it but it is not installed yet. The body was also blasted and the main tub was put in black sealer primer the rest of the parts are still bare metal. It does need some light body work on the rear of the tub where the gas can and spare tire mounts, it’s not bad just a little wavy. The floor was replaced under the drivers seat because of some rust but other than that the body was rust free. It has brand new NDT military tires all the way around. The original fuel pump was also rebuilt a few months ago. All the small parts like blackout lights, gages, handles, tire mounts not in the pictures is stored in rubbermaid tubs. This Jeep has under 20k original miles. It is an easy winter project with a lot of the hard work already done. $3950 OBO 509-953-1868 located by Northtown Mall area.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1100.
I can’t tell much from the pic.
“jeep has had f-head motor from cj3b installed sometime in past, starts and runs, rest of running gear appears original, has metal hardtop which looks to be of same age as jeep with rollup windows, the frame is solid as is top, body is rusty .this is a project that is not road ready, glass is gone brakes don’t work, transmission and transfercase do work,i have a title, would be a good start to add a new body but i have to many projects,i took it on trade and don’t need another project(the doors are laying inside)”
With a plow and a fiberglass body, this might be a good price.
“1960 Jeep Overland CJ5 wiyh 6 1/2 ft. 4-way plow New tires. Has a new fiberglass tub. Two tops. 4 cylinder with 3-speed manual transmision. High/low range 4-wheel drive. Runs excellent. $2600.00 Joe 414 477 9337”
This looks exactly like mine and in better shape than what I originally got.
“In good condition. Call Larro at 541-347 -3498”
It’s a good price, but looks like it needs some work. I *think* this is a narrow body rather than a standard sized body.
“jeep body glass 2 halfs no floors. Rough needs glass work. $100 360-556-5181”

“SET OF 4. WILL FIT JEEP OR BRONCO. BOLT PATTERN IS 5 ON 5.5….$300 FOR THE SET. SET OF 2 PADDLE TIRES ALSO AVAILABLE.”
I’ve been enjoying some fun time with my kids during the past week; driving the jeep has become one of the favorite activities, despite the freezing temps. I finally got brave enough to let Karson drive off in it by himself (well, only around the block). So, here’s a video of it for those interested.
One of the things I’ve been noticing as I watch the video is that the jeep slopes backwards more than intended. But, that doesnt’ trouble me too much, because I had planned to change out the stock XJ springs for some XJ springs with a 2″ lift. Well, either that or I can mount the springs over the top. For now, they’ll work fine though.
UPDATE; **SOLD** Was $600.
Those appears to be the mudflaps hanging from the back.
“NO TITLE, Serial Number 88306, Drive train is fine (axels, trans, engine, brakes, transfer case) has PTO with no lever or propeller shaft. Good oil pressure. Set up to simulate an MB. 60+ year old Body is far from perfect. 8 inch wide wheels with dry-cracked tires. Good to run on a farm or for hunting and trail riding. Mud Flaps & Tow bar goes with. Must go soon. Advertised locally. Drive it on your trailer and get back home to have some fun. $600”
It’s a parts jeep, but note the solid steel rims. This may be a good price.

“4×4 Willys 1950’s Jeep: Engine not started in 15 years. Tranny, Differential, and Axles still intact. Body Rough.
$550 Cash Only. Call Andy for further details”

Includes antlers? Maybe you get the “it’s a jeep thing” sign on the back as well?
“In the vicinity of a 1947 Jeep Willys that runs great around the farm with at least one forward gear + reverse; 6 cyl Buick engine; have another Jeep, (not pictured) similar age as well , stock engine and all gears – contact:”
It’s hard to tell much from the pic.
“1946 Willys CJ-2A. Original drivetrain with flathead four cylinder engine. Clear AZ title, not registered. Body has some rust but it has mostly been repaired (needs paint).
Comes with towbar, removeable shade (golf cart top that clamps to the roll bar), and service manual.
Many upgraded and/or new parts within last several years (the Jeep has rarely been used during this time):
– Transmission (three speed) and transfer case rebuilt
– Steering box rebuilt with all new parts, one-piece tie rod conversion, new steering wheel
– Brand new gear-reduction starter
– 12V electrical system with GM alternator, headlights work
– Flush-mount taillights installed but not hooked up
– Carburetor rebuilt, adjustable fuel pressure regulator
– 7.00-15 tires (much easier to find then original 6.00-16)
– Rebuilt master cylinder, and new wheel cylinders
– Re-lined transmission parking brake and new cable (comes with it but not installed yet)
I have owned it for eleven years and used it for hunting and four-wheeling. It could be made street-legal fairly easily, but with 60 hp, 9″ brakes and 5.38 gears it is much better suited for off-road use.
I am selling it because I no longer use it and have too many vehicles. I will consider offers, and will also consider a trade for a big quad or a smaller RV travel trailer (no cars or trucks, etc). Please respond via craigslist or call Al at 490-1963. I can send several other pictures upon request.”
