“Willys Jeep. The Good: Complete, mostly original, flat-four. Also includes full 6-point cage, new tires, new shocks, new gas tank and lines, and new brake lines.
The Issues: It has been sitting for a while and was in the middle of a 12-volt conversion that was never finished (no generator or alternator) when I bought it, wiring needs attention, turns over and starts, has a couple rust-out spots under the rear tail lights, quater size hole under the drivers seat in the pan, and rust in the out-rigger body braces under the body near the frame. No pink slip.

I bought it as a project and have not had the time to finish it. It had been sitting for a while prior to me buying it… I massaged the cylinders with some Marvel oil, added some fresh gas to the carb and it cranked over and it tried to run. Sputtered, puttered, but ran. Since then, I have replaced all the gas lines, cleaned the new tank (it had old gas in it), added two inline filters, new plugs, new wires, and there it sat. Thus, I know it’s not frozen and only needs minor tweaking to run.

It appears there have been a variety of mods to this Jeep.  It includes a Warn OD.

If the body is decent, this might be a good deal if it will run easily.

“1947 Willys CJ2A with a CJ3 windshield. Jeep ran last summer, however it sat all winter and now will not start….turns over, just won’t fire. Many new parts including: battery, plugs, wires, cap & rotor, gas tank, electric fuel pump, alternator, recovered seats. Jeep has good 31 x 10.50 tires on CJ wheels, 2 spares included. I’m not a mechanic, however I really don’t think it will take much to get it to start, just a little time and knowledge. No title, but I do have the VIN Plate. I live in St. Charles, but the jeep is on our property located in Cedar Hill/Desoto area. Cash only and must pickup, I do not have a trailer to deliver. Great farm or hunting vehicle.
