This appears to be solid M-38 that just needs some paint.

UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
This has a rear pto (I’m guessing based on the rear winch). This appears to have little rust.
“i have a 1950’s jeep for $1500.00 it is a 4 cylinder . it does run.”
Apparently, this is a Navy CJ-3A. It appears there is a data plate above the standard data plate on the dash that could very well document this. That said, it seems like it should be painted navy colors rather than in a cammo pattern.
“Fully reconditioned 1953 Willys Jeep. Originally assigned to the Navy. Restoration includes rebuilt motor, transmission, rewiring, steering and suspension. Non-directional military tires, tow hitch, and roll bar. Runs great, super fun to drive!”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000

“4cyl. 4speed, PTO winch in front and farm PTO in rear! Very little rust! Just needs fuel tank boiled and tires to be ready for the lease! Jeep is complete less the windshield frame.
Why spend thousands on asian plastic 4wheelers when for a lot less you can have American steel and a piece of history with this Korean era Army Jeep?”

(11/26/2009) The seller would like to trade this jeep as part of a trade for a Cargo Trailer. This is a no tailgate DJ-3A. This appears to be a great price.
“JEEP: 1956 WILLY’S DJ3-A. Needs the bodywork finished and painted. Body is in good shape. Not wrecked or rusted out. Floorpan is great. Engine is a 4-cyl 1971 Ford, but runs like a top! Short exhaust w/cherry bomb. Roll bar and hardtop included. Aluminum mag wheels. Needs tires. Windshield is cracked, but would be easy to replace. Clear title in my name. Very unusual model. Same body style as Willy’s MB/Ford GPW. Would trade for approx $1200 +/- toward a trailer.”
UPDATE: Sold through ewilys. Congrats Jim!
This is a 1964 cj5a tuxedo park, 4 cylinder, 3 on the tree, five 700×15 tires with about 600 feet on them, seats redone about 4 months ago. chrome good still some shine. paint looks good from 15 feet away. not original color. was light blue when new. runs, stops, shifts great!! not installed but included complete 11 inch brakes for front. original dash ruined by non factory radio cutout. dash included plus super nice factory red dash panel and glove box. body is way way above average. 99.99% rust free! no rust tailgate! no rust below tail lights! floors solid as is tool box. still has its original perfect side steps! sold new in california but relocated to southern oregon 30 years ago. still has original dealer frame on front license! radiator starting to weep.”
The body looks pretty good.
“1954 Willys utility wagon, ran great when put up on blocks 10 years ago. Also many spare engine/tranny parts. Not running now but it is off blocks and will roll. It would have to be trailered away. $950. or best offer. It is in the way of my wife’s garden and must go.”
This looks like a good price. It’s got a the old Bobcat hood, too; at least, I think Bobcat was the manufacturer?
“1947 Willyz Jeep CJ2A Flat Fender -V8 Ready for AMC 360 -After Market Fiber Glass Hood -Original Axels and Running Gear. There is a lot of rust, but not bad considering it is 70 years old. UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1446.
This needs some work. No doubt the only VEC item left are the tool indents.
“Straight body, needs paint. Rock crawler potential. 4.3l V-6 engine, (probably needs replacing). Custom headers. EFI wiring harness. Muncie 420 transmission. Dana 300 t-case. Dana 44 front axle with spring over axle lift. Custom radiator. Custom engine mounts, (will work for a small block chevy v-8 also)
She needs more TLC and time than I can give her. Been sitting in my back yard untouched for far too long. If you want a rock crawler project, or a unique daily driver, this has potential. She looks a lot better than a lot of 66 year old people I know.”
This looks very solid. The seller listed this as a ’42.
“This Jeep would be great for someone looking to do a restoration project. The engine and transmission run, only 57,456 miles on the vehicle with good tires. I put in new seats and gas tank. The only thing it needs is a new fuel line which would be really simple to do on a vehicle like this. With work and school I dont have the time to play with it anymore. I am asking 5,000 or you can throw me an offer. phone: 402-250-3674.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $6500.
This follows several nice, stock CJ-2As that were listed yesterday.

This is a pretty CJ-3B. Remonter A Neuf is translated by google as “A New Wind”. And we all know google is all knowing 🙂
“JEEP WILLYS CJ3 1960 REMONTER A NEUF. POUR COLLECTIONEUR. MOTEUR 450 MILLES.”
UPDATE: Was $2500. **Status Unknown**
It’s not totally stock, but it sure looks nice for the price.
“Titled as a 1947 CJ. Ford 4cyl motor and 4 speed manual transmission. Full aluminum Meyers top and doors. Bucket seats in front, rear jumpseat, rollbar, heater. Runs great, crack in windshield glass. Fuel pump is a little weak as it loses prime if not started for a few weeks. Fun vehicle. Take the top off and flip the windshield down in the summer.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1000.
This might clean up pretty well, but you’ll need another engine.
“A nice piece of Jeep history. The first Jeep to be sold to the public after WWII.
Very original flat fender 4×4 jeep, Clean title. Needs a replacement L 134 (go devil) engine block. The Body is in very good shape, all rust has been replaced with new metal. Restored in late 80s. Good seats, No top. Break system is good. Would make a great weekend driver or trail rig.”
UPDATE: **SOLD** Was $1500
The body doesn’t look too bad, but the hood appears tweaked.
“It’s a 42 Willys Jeep with a 3.1 liter Buick V6 and it runs. Bill of sale only, no title.”
Here’s a great looking Jeepster.
“The car runs very well, and its easy to drive. The “3 on the tree” manual transmission shifts properly. Whether you’re heading to Margaritaville at 5 o’clock, or just out for a pleasure drive on a nice ragtop day, you’ll have no worries.
As far as condition, its good. The body is straight and the interior is in very, very good shape. The convertible top is also in very good shape, but it does not latch properly at the front. This isn’t ready to be a show car, but its a nice driver. We don’t know the actual mileage on the vehicle, but we’re betting its seen more smiles than miles.
It does have an AM/FM/Cassette radio, but the car doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles…oh wait…there IS a whistle: the “sexy girl” whistle sounds when you push a button on the dash.

(12/09/2008) I doubt there’s many MB parts left on this drag jeep.
“’42 Fiberglass Willys Flat Fender Sand Car, all Chromalloy frame and rollcage, Ford 9″ 5 on 5 1/2 40 spline axles, Willwood calipers and disc brakes on rear, 617 gear, adjustable QAR coil overshocks, 2-speed power glide magnum pro-grip shifter, Chrysler A-arm front end with coil over shocks, motor is Orange engine built 383 Chevy small block approx. 500 HP, AFR aluminum heads new 1150 Holley dominator carberator, gauges, front head lights, rear tail lights, new rear taunel cover, paint and body work is all 6 mos. old, 2 Kirkey driver and passenger seats, and much more.”
(06/17/2009) If you can easily fix the wiring, then this could be a very good price. There’s some good value in the parts. I’m not sure what’s on the hood.
“1946 Jeep Willys CJ2A
1996 Fuel injected chevy 4.3 V6 mated to a SM420 4 speed transmission (the one with the huge granny gear) and a Dana 20 T-case. Newish (less that 3K miles) 35” BFG Krawlers. Front and rear axles are Dana 44’s with 4.56 gears and detroit lockers. Front is disc and rear is drum. Fully hydro steering with doubled ended, dual action cylinder. Early bronco coil suspension adapted over in the front with leaf sprung rear.
Now the bad….Squirrels got into the engine compartment and ate through the Painless wiring harness. They pretty much chewed through the main trunk that goes back to the computer. Not impossible to fix but I don’t have the time nor the inclination.”
